Hey this video is a bit old, but I didn't see anyone post about it here. EgoRaptor does a great job explaining how the Mega Man series introduces gameplay elements without slapping the player in the face with tutorials all the time. Part of the pleasure of playing games is learning a new system and mastering it. If the game tells you how to do everything, you're no longer using your brain. Great game designers are able to convey new gameplay mechanics using visual cues and hints in stage design
