Subject: Grandia 2 PC Problems - READ HERE FIRST

I have a problem! I installed the game Grandia 2 Pc version and wont play. But when I aktivate the symbol of the game a black window come at the back and a little in the front whit a text: "Please configurate the game with GmConfig.Exe" I did that but nothing changed. What must I do!

I have a problem in Cyrax. Roan is about to show the crest, and my game crashes with an error message saying valmer.somethin (cant remember the extension). It may be that my cd drive just needs cleaning, but has anyone else had this problem?

I had this problemw with the pc version, where it played the company logos etc, and then caused an error with the main file, i wanted to play grandia 2 so badly that i backed up my save games and re installed windows, (i did this twise cuz it kept on happening) LOL

I just bought this game for PC, I installed it, got to the menu, when I click on "new game" I get to a black screen, and the cd stop reading,

i had the same problem but after format pc and install games it worked, so i installed joystick drivers (ntpad or something like that) and game didnt worked anymore (started crash in ubisoft screen) so...i uninstaled joystick drivers and it worked well again
so...the ubi logo crash problems is the stupid pad drivers...or at last after removing it it worked

I have the same problem as always
For Ryudo, He suppose to make "Swoosh" noise when he slashes an enemy, that happens 1/1000 times on PC & all the times on the DC version.
Sound bug ?

I get that same problem, it seems that only one sound can be played at a time? Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have solved the video problem with this game. Hopefully this helps, donīt throw the game away just yet.
Videos are coded with cvid codec that supposed to be installed during windows installer, for some reason I didnīt have those codecs installed. Hereīs the webpage I found, it instructs how to install right codecs, you need only windows cd.

You need only install Cinepak Video Codecs
All videos are working now and Iīm running with XP sp2 and radeon 9800 pro

I just bought grandia 2 and i tried on running it on my older computer which is a pentium celeron 466, 128 meg ram and an Nvidia Riva Grahpics card i have the lastest direct x and when i load the game up it just produces a white screen and then closes its self... does anyone know how i can fix the problem.

im near the end of the game remember the bit where ryudo appears behind elena in a bright beam of light when she is singing a song because valmar is coming. Well anyway right after that he lifts up his sword and points it up and just at that point i get a message saying " VC23c.vms " and all i can do is click ok then the game stops and i cant do anything. Can someone please help me with this problem

I had trouble with the movies not playing, and found that it works perfectly as long as I run the GmConfig program right before I play the game. I don't have to change anything in the config, just load it, and exit it...movies work fine.

i have a problem on the grandia PC version. When i start up the game it comes up with the ubisoft tging then the game arts little movie thing but at the end of that one the screen starts flashing in weird colours and the screen goes fuzzy
CAN SUM1 PLZ HELP ME! my compy's specs are celeron 2.2 ghz, 40gig hdd, 256 ram, direct x 8.1, 32 bit colour AND ITS STILL NOT WORKING!!!
