The Patriot SuperSonic is USB 3.0 flash drive available in 32GB and 64GB storage capacities. To stand out from the crowd, the SuperSonic boasts quad-channel memory technology and an on-board USB 3.0 controller to further enhance data transfer speeds. We put the SuperSonic to the test to see how much performance Patriot managed to pack into a small package:

Wow, thats a fast flash drive. Pretty much put all the comparison drives to shame.

They are pretty expensive too. $200 for a 64gb flash drive is a bit high, especially when you can get an SSD the same size for almost half the cost.

I agree, way too much to pay for a flash drive. You could buy an external usb 3 500gb drive for the price or less then a 32gb flash drive and get similar speeds.

PQi makes a 32gb for only 35$. I'd go that route if I so needed the portability.

For someone who transfers a lot of high definition video files on a regular basis (10-15 gigabytes at a time), those sort of transfer speeds are like heaven on earth. However, like both The Slayer and Gravity have already touched upon, at this point, the price is too great for the storage size.

However, would love to see this technology implemented into a 1TB portable drive in the near future, would certainly consider it.

kinda falls short of expectations. the results from reading files were nowhere near the specifications of 100 MB/s.
