any more details?, also do you have other similar games like Madden or an older Live that work?
If you havent, try reinstalling

jsut go to mircrosoft site and do the windows updates
updates especially the security patches
and the game will work~

if your comp isnt up to date with the latest stuff like directX 9, live 04 might not work
also fifa 02 and triple play are a lot older and less demanding than live 04

where did you place it?
if at C prompt try puttinbg it in program files
i had that problem too but it soon worked after i reinstalled it and placed it in program files
