As a big fan of Monster Hunter Tri, there are a lot of great monsters that I'm looking forward to hunting in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. So what monster(s) are you guys particularly looking forward to and why?

Zinogre is right at the top of my list of most anticipated monsters. ^^ I liked it as soon as I saw it. I really like the design and can't wait to get some Zinogre equipment when the game comes out.

I really want to fight some sub species, and nargacuga <- never fought that monster and would like to slay it and make some armor out of it.

zinogre was the flagship monster for p3rd so it's definitively on my to-hunt list. There's a sub species of the beast called Stygian Zinogre, and it's just as deadly as it's cousin if not more so. It's element is dragon . I've seen a picture of it's armor somewhere on the web, and it looks awesome.

I'm really looking forward to that as well. Considering how long I spent playing Monster Hunter Tri, the potential for even greater replay through monster variations is very exciting. ^^ I like how it extends to more than just a difference of aesthetics too.

Stygian Zinogre is awesome.

How long was that exactly? I don't think I ever saw you post in the Coordinator since I joined neo (must've been before my time T_T).

Anyways I completely agree with what you've said, and guess what? They're adding in new sub species: A green Nargacuga which can go invisible, and a Species of Jhen mohran. there's also one other monster that's not exactly a sub species, but it might as well be. Hungry devlijho, this one is in a permanent rage mode PLUS has a greater level of rage beyond that! *shudders*

Most Neoseeker members are placed in a different region. I have over 500 hours clocked on Monster Hunter Tri I'm pretty sure, though I can't remember the specifics.

Ah okay, like Chameleos. I imagine that'll be a pain to fight then! Though in saying that, I am looking forward to having some challenges higher in difficulty than what Monster Hunter Tri has to offer. Not that I think it's an easy game from start to finish, but it'd be nice to see even harder quests to take.

Looking forward to taking on an even angrier Deviljho.

It's interesting considering there's different box arts, but I'll assume you're talking about the Brachydios, Couttsy. ^^ I reckon that monster will be loads of fun to hunt and I can't wait to check out its equipment.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what the weapons made from its materials are like in particular. ^^ I'm also interested in seeing how hard it really is to hunt.

I'm actually really looking forward to tackling the new Ceadeus subspecies with some teammates! I was really disappointed when the Ceadeus didn't make the roster of online monsters in the original Tri, but this more than makes up for it.

Zinogre | Stygian Zinogre are both up there, as well as the Nargacuga, Brachydios, Icy Agnaktor, and the Plesioth. I've fought plenty of Plesioth, but the idea of battling one in the water makes me all giddy.

Too bad we won't get to hunt together, Dark Arcanine! I was looking forward to shredding some creatures alongside you and Phi!

I don't know why, but it never bothered me much in Monster Hunter Tri that Ceadeus is an offline only monster. I suppose since it's the monster at the end of one's personal journey, I didn't mind too much that it didn't reappear while hunting with others. It's also amusing when you start playing online in Monster Hunter Tri and a lot of people seem to be wearing full Ceadeus armour.

Yes, that should be very interesting. Monsters that can battle in water and on land are cool; helps to keep the battle fresh and changing. I'm also looking forward to seeing what the Plesioth is like to fight.

That's true.

Plesioth are generally pushovers, Dark Arcanine but the newer underwater mechanics means it'll have homefield advantage. And I think that's just great!

Ah okay. I know in previous games where a hunter can't go in the water it could be a pain when it jumped in there, haha.

I rather enjoy hunting in the water. ^^

With the advent of the Bow, it wasn't so much a hassle anymore, but it certainly was a struggle for someone more fond of melee weapons, such as myself. I played locally with my buddy on the PSP, and it was always funny to have these badass looking characters waving Dual Swords and Greatswords at an underwater monster, who quite obviously was mocking us.

Just another reason why the Bow is awesome I suppose. I rather like underwater battles so I look forward to it. I feel the swimming mechanics in Monster Hunter Tri are pretty good, so hopefully they'll be just as good, if not better, in this title.
