PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has gone gold and hell, it launches in less than a week too. That doesn't mean the fine devs over at SuperBot are taking a break, however. No they're back in the saddle and working on future content for their game. In this case, they're working on two new, free, DLC characters to be released next year. Kat, from Gravity Rush, and Emmett Graves, from Starhawk, will both be joining the roster.
The "free" part is a little bit tricky, though. Don't get me wrong, they'll still be 100% free when they're initially released, but they'll only be free for the first two weeks. After that, the two fighters will come at a cost. If you pick up the two during the free period, have no worries, as they'll be unlocked on your account forever. Just in case, we'll make sure to remind you when their release date is approaching.
SuperBot and Sony are trying to capitalize not just on a great game, but a robust experience around the game. With content including these free characters and free skins for all fighters with a preorder, and then cross-play between PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, PlayStation All-Stars is creating an experience you can't get anywhere else. Look forward to Battle Royale's release on November 20.
Thanks for the tip, Dylan.
