Chuckolator? Use Chopper Bros. and Knockback Bros. When he makes those soda slugs, it's obvious to see whom they're crawling to so it's easy to hammer them. For his bubble attack, when his cannon is aimed down, it's going for Luigi. If not, then it's aimed at Mario.
Every enemy has a hint in their attack.
If he falls down short enough and becomes very small, hammer his poison attack.
