I enjoy the battles too, but i never really find them that difficult.

they are always easy for some reason... it's just that you can lose and nothing really "bad" happens anyway

The battles weren't easy, but they weren't hard either. Even Sin and Jecht were just normal even though they were meant to be the "hardest" battles

They're only easy if you're overleveled.

If you stick to the "Own Sphere Grid" of each character, they're quite challeging. Especially BFA.

not really even then if you just follow the directions on the screen it is really simple unless you are extrememly underleved

i just recently got ffx2 but haven't been playing it much. maybe its because of disappointment with the blitzball. compared to ffx this game leaves a lot to be desired.

...after leaving the Macalania Lake Bottom, and now I'm facing a 48k point creature...*eek*

This can't bode well, you know?

Well, that critter wasn't so bad after all! Even if it DID swallow my party members a few times...after they were spit back out, I kept expecting them to make some comment on how gross that was!

Made it through the desert, survived the destruction of the Al Bhed Home, and am now flying in the Al Bhed airship. I only wish I could have found more Al Bhed primers...I can understand more of what they say, but so many gaps...yipes!

Hehe XD

Sand Worms can be annoying yes. But, they are not immune to Sleep status. So either have Wakka use Sleep Attack or Sleep Buster on them, and have Lulu blast them with Magic (Demi is really helpful here). Or have Rikku throw a Sleeping Powder on them. Steal the Sleeping Powders from the Sand Wolves in the area.

Sleep from Sleep Attack lasts for Three turns
Sleep from Sleep Buster lasts for One turn
Sleep from Sleeping Powder lasts for Seven turns.

Sand Worm turns, of course. And if your Lu has learned Bio already, Poison the Sand Worms, it'll take out 4500 HP from it with each turn that passes while it's asleep.

Also, take notice that Sleep Buster and Sleeping Powder ignore Resistance. Meaning they will ALWAYS induce the sleep status on the enemy as long as it's not immune to it. Bio as well, it will always induce Poison as long as the fiend is not immune to it.

BTW, try to steal Bomb Cores from the Bombs on the airship. And customize a couple of fireproof armors, they will prove mighty helpful in the fights after the boss.

And I hope to God you picked up the Teleport Spheres from the Mandragora Chest in Bikanel. You can Customize (Evade&Counter) with those. that ability allows you to evade every evadable attack all the time, and then counter with an attack of your own. I don't think I need to mention how useful is that.

As for the boss you will fight later, in the underwater part (Evrae Altana). Make dead sure you do not use the Trigger Command (Open Lock). If you do so, you'll miss on a weapon that has (Evade and Counter) for Wakka.

Drat...I don't remember seeing Teleport Spheres!

Did I just shoot myself in the foot AGAIN?

Sadly, I don't have Bio for Lulu..or any -ga level spells yet. Am I in for an impossible fight against Evrae? I'm doing a lot of battles in the Airship corridors; I'm starting to get the idea that I'm climbing a vertical wall that's slippery!
