Subject: Elevator Key Oops

I did not rush over to talk to the prisoners to get the key, since I did not know you would be screwed. I was battling at the tower and visited the prisoners. They were awake and were not giving a way the key that one of the has (the sleeping one).
Any way to get the key without restarting?

No, there isn't. But, you're not supposed to be able to proceed that far through the story without it.

how did you get skrewed? i never did that.. how can you do it without the key?
