:o As much as I don't like DLC being announced before the games come out this is something that it seems they will be working even post-release. I will probably be getting the seasons pass just so I can get all of these. XD

SO DUMB.
Why?
It's George Washington, The Dastardly Evil King of America.

How cool is that?

Stitch Considering my experiences with Assassin's Creed, and the way they've been advertising AC3 so far.. like, that Boston Tea Party video -- it was all about accurately representing the historical event. I was really excited about a subtle retelling of history, but then all of a sudden... just look at that picture. That is like... the least subtle, in your face, gross misrepresentation of history... just straight dumb. Not that that can't be fun, it's just not at all what I wanted or expected from AC3.

No doubt.

bluexy, to be fair History has always been the playground of those creating the AC universe, I'm rather excited on them totally adding an additional parallel Universe on what could have happened. Adds a certain quirkiness to the series. Things get boring if the devs don't mix it up from time to time.

Most of the game is accurate, this is just an alternative side fun.
The Father of America, portrayed as a villain, sounds funny.
I wonder if he also has a maniacle laugh.

You just know his ultimate weapon is his Wooden Teeth, he'll probably send little flying wooden teeths with bombs strapped to it like a magician to any foe that stands before him.
But be sure to avoid the big one in his mouth.
That one stings like the dickins.

Dragoon Do you think that's what this is? Is this them going from our history, detailing a secret war, to a completely different alternate history? Will this be "the split" where George Washington becomes king, rather than the president we know?

Well yes, the source says so. It tells the tale of what "could have happened", an alternate reality.

i believe this is in keeping with ubisoft's creative way of twisting history, which i have always loved. is it not typical of men that when confronted with the idea of imminent fame and limitless power, the most common result is to rule the lesser? plus, it has been strongly hinted through subject 16's puzzles that washington was a templar. furthermore, notice the very worried look upon his face at the end of the cinematic trailer...guys it's great to be patriotic, but it's a neat and plausible twist to a game that makes these kinds of twists as a matter of habit...play it and then judge...

You kinda make it sound like this is canon, while it's mostly fandom, from the Dev's view then.

Dragoon "What could have happened" is different than a complete branching in the timeline. Up to this point, Assassin's Creed has been a fictional retelling of our history. If George Washington becomes king, it would cease to be a retelling of our history and become a completely different, original timeline.

besides, according to ac lore, henry ford developed the assembly line and unions as a form of control under the guidance of the templar order

To those who find this as silly, the good news is that this first DLC is more of a "what if" account as opposed to straight up canon, so the core game itself should stay true to history, which, if you've been paying attention, is not true at all but permitted.

That said, LOL that said I have the money for this when it hits market (I won't) I am sooooo gonna buy that season pass. I mean, just the way that art has Georgey boy with the POE Apple is ridiculously awesome. xD
