Interesting choice to move to Singapore mate - If you get a club job do you plan on staying with Singapore as well? Would be really interesting and would help vary the story a bit.

I am going to do that in my next update, I am quite pleased with their process ... oops ... spoilers. I will get it done later today. I am feeling quite excited by my game now, so many things are happening.

25 and Still Jobless – 2014-15 Season – Heading to the Championship am I?

As the English football leagues finally came to a close, I decided to look back at the side that I had once managed to see how they got in in my absence, I was more than a little eager to see if some progress had been made. First off was Bath City, they had just missed out on the playoffs the year before, so I was hoping that they might have had some luck this year.

To my pleasant surprise, Bath City not only did well this season, they narrowly missed out on the Blue Square Premier Title, before going on to win promotion to League 2 through the playoffs. I will forever say that I had a hand in this success because if it wasn't for me, they would have gone down to the Blue Square South, a place they did not want to go down to.

Next off was Gateshead, now they were in League 2 already, but they were hitting a bad run of form last I checked and had found themselves in the relegation zones, a place that I hoped that they survive from.

They did, just about, but only on goals scored, which was even tighter than last years title win, this wasn't going to become a bad habit of theirs was it? Because that was pushing it a bit fine.

Back to Singapore now.

As you can see, I took a big, big win against a side that were at least 40 places higher in the World Rankings than me, the last minute goal caused me to jump out of my seat in joy at the unexpected prize at the end of the match. A great result for me.

Now comes the strange part for me, I applied for the Birmingham City job, after they got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, which resulted in Steve Bruce being sacked. However, I got this response from the chairman.

Rude I know, but if anything, it makes what happened the next day all the stranger in my eyes.

How strange is that? He laughs off my interest one day, only to give me an offer to be their manager the next. I'm not sure about you, but I think that there is something strange about this. (I am still using the first patch for this story, maybe that's it.)

This is the table to prove where they finished last season ... and to show all of the problems for the Manchester clubs and Arsenal. But by next season, I could be in the top tier of football if I get Birmingham promoted. Am I going to be their next manager?

Do you think that I should take the Birmingham City job? Look at the wages! 14 times more than I've ever been paid before in my managerial career.

ooh thats dodgy haha
well glad they offered you it after that
i would reject it and tell them to piss off or publicly apologise aha

in all seriousness, take it if:

you can trim there wages (say get it down to like 500k (to them bring in a few players)

get decent funds of player sales (to buy players)

and if you think there good enough to go back up

post there squad list (showing wages n value of players?)
if you can be assed lol
then that might help

are you thinking there squad looks good?

Is it possible to manage a club and country at the same time? If so then you should carry on with Singapore. It would be a shame to leave them after such a short time - at least try to qualify for a major tournament before you quit them.

Yes, it's possible, I managed Zenit St. Petersburg and Brazil at the same time before, and even learnt some handy new languages.

25 and Still Jobless – 2015-16 Season – Promotion and Experience

I decided that despite the rude way he had addressed me, before deciding that he would like to hire me literally a day later, to sign on for Birmingham City. I felt that I had a lot to offer for such a big club and with the players already there like Ryan Babel, Adam Johnson, Curtis Davies, Alex Smithies and Vincent Aboubakar, we had a great chance to win promotion, hell even the league.

I made that clear in the press conference, but I still needed to get an assistant manager, for the second time in 6 months. I found the perfect man in 35 year old Travis Dodd.

We were also given money due to TV rights and parachute payments, not that I was expecting too much really, but then again, who am I to complain about that?

I declared to the board my ambition to win the Championship, something that they were more than happy to accept. Though due to relegation clauses, the wages went down by £200K per week, much to my delight. I wouldn't have to worry as much as I thought that I would have to. Plus, I would now be able to adjust the wage structure to allow funds to bring in players as well. Another small victory for me.

The Championship promotion odds were in from Sky Bet and unsurprisingly Birmingham were given a 5-1 odds for promotion, where the bookmakers tipped us make a serious bid for promotion after getting relegated the year before.

I have never felt more confident about a promotion in my entire life.

In my role of Singapore, I had been missing a few roles, a goalkeeping coach was one of them, and now I got it filled, by none other than Edwin Van der Sar.

Another role I finally got filled up was the coaching role, which was taken up by Dougie Wilson.

With all of the international experience behind me now, I feel more confident than ever before.
