I don't think it is possible. After all, it was a demo and demos aren't always like the final version of the game.

You've got it all wrong. If you complete the game 100% on all 4 files, all cars will be unlocked, even the bonus cars.

You still can play as the monster truck, even without 100% in all files. You just have to play it on level two. Worked for me and I have 84%.

Whats the point completing the game for a monster truck in level 1 anyway
its not like you get an extra mission or anything

You don't need to complete the game on all 4 files. You just need it completed on 1 file then go to main menu or in-game options menu, hold L1 + R1 and press O,X,O,X
. Go to a phone booth on any level to get all the bonus cars, Grandpa's car with rockets and more.

Yes. Follow my steps. (I've got 100% anyway)
1. Get 100% look at the FAQs for more help.
2. go to a phone booth. Then press triangle to get in.
3. Press L1.
4. Pick any car in the game you want to drive around in. Includes Grampas Car with rockets (from Level 7, last mission) ALL the secret cars (Monorail, ATV, Monster Truck etc.)
