Dragon Quest X, the Japanese MMO that's exclusive to the Wii, is following an interesting path of evolution overseas. The version 1.2 content update received its first trailer today, announcing some interesting and exciting bits of news. As most know, Dragon Quest X is in the process of being made for the Wii U, which is probably necessary to happen before it's ported to North America. The good news is the Japanese Wii U beta starts in February, so we're getting closer.
Of course, there's plenty of other content packed into Dragon Quest X 1.2 as well:
Level cap raised from 55 to 60
All new Magic Warrior and Superstar jobs
Carpentry, sewing, furniture production added
Release date in December
Despite having to wait quite a bit longer to finally get to play Dragon Quest X, it will be nice to have a more robust and optimized experience when it finally does ship overseas. While there has yet to be an official announcement, I'll restate that I believe it will come after the game has been released on the Wii U. The online enabled Wii user base is likely upgrading, leaving the offline folk behind.
