How's that for a profit, bought Schurrle for 25M earlier today.
Taking a huge gamble on packs though.

Wonder how's harbin91 taking this?
And I thought I'd done well on bale and vanden borre. Amazing profit of 125m there, well done.

There is nothing wrong with Anthony Vanden Borre. He's a cracking lad.

So what if it is? He's a backup and not expected to play much anyway.

Anyukov.
Van Der Wiel, CA 149.
Bochetti, CA 147.
Van Bommel, 150 (won't be surprised if players can out run him TBH)
Riquelme, 150

Do I not recall Terry, Khedira and Walcott being breakable on this game.

harbin91 After all the money you've spent on Borre and the amount of criticism you've defended him from, surely he needs a first team place now? To prove everyone wrong.

So what you're saying is that they are all better with room to improve.

I said he was versatile and awesome on FM07. Besides it's a competition for fun, so what if it is under 150. Not saying he's the best player in the world, just that there isn't anything wrong with him, especially for a backup.

What I'm saying is that assuming this lasts for a season, they'll not peak until the competition is ended anyway. Bommel hasn't got room to improve at his age anyway.

Remember I said his PA not CA.
His CA is much lower.
Anyways, his stats do really tell a different story. Could be a surprise package.

How many surprise packages do you see on FM anyway? I've had big players that have turned out crap as well... well, not necessarily crap... just not as good as I'd have expected them... mainly that has been on other teams though.

Not saying that I'd defend him to the death as the best RB in the world... just that he's decent enough to be backup. If in the end his average rating is something like 4.3 over the past 40 odd games or so then fair enough, I'll admit he was a bad deal.

harbin91 Who is your first choice RB? will borre get that many games anyway? and i'm sure his average rating will be just under 7 ish.

Usually I'm fine with 6.8-7. Maicon is the number one RB though, although I usually play them further up the pitch... the main reason I sold Corluka was because he couldn't cross, dribbling and wasn't as fast as I liked him...

Worryingly, I've just searched for AVBs AvR over the past 9 seasons it's been below par. 6.5s mainly. Still, I like to see myself as someone who supports players and not criticises them... only until January when I can attempt to shift them.
