Started as Liverpool again, trying to adopt my own tactic to the team. It does mean getting rid of Stewart Downing and Maxi Rodriguez though, although no-one has bought them yet. Signed 4 players and got rid of 1, also managed to get Southampton as a feeder club.

Finished my 1st season; Finished 3rd and was knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup and FA Cup by Everton and West Brom respectively. Ended up bringing in Isaac Cuenca on a free transfer and Delph on loan.

Don't know if anyone has been keeping up-to-date with my Liverpool save in the HDR, if you haven't, here's a quick breakdown on how things are going so far:
I've opted for my own 4-3-3 formation, which meant Downing and Maxi were void in this season. Didn't buy anyone major, Mahamadou Diarra and Cuenca were my only real signings. We finished 3rd, 11 points behind the champions City and were knocked out of the FA Cup and Carling Cup in the quarter finals.
Made a few changes in this season and was the last season I updated in here. We finished 4th this season, but were only 5 points off top position. We went out in the 3rd Round of the Carling Cup and the last 16 of the Champions League to Atletico Madrid. We made it all the way to the final in the FA Cup though, but were poor and lost 2-0 to Spurs.
Hoped the signings of Giroud, Asamoah and Vrsaljko would enable us to end our trophy drought. Unfortunately we lost out on the league again, this time finishing as runners-up by a point. We went out in the FA Cup and Carling Cup again, this time in the 3rd Round and quarter finals respectively. We made it all the way to the final in the Champions League though, losing 3-1 to Real Madrid in extra-time, 2 last Madrid goals pulling it back from 2-0.
Finally ended our trophy drought with a domestic double. We went out in the quarter finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup, but were victorious in the league and Carling Cup. We beat Sunderland on penalties to secure the Carling Cup in March, then finished 3 points ahead of Arsenal to win the Premier League.
My current season. We have retained the Carling Cup with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa and beat Tottenham 2-0 in the Community Shield. We're also in the quarter finals of the FA Cup against Chelsea, but went out of the Champions League in the group stages. Into the last 16 of the Europa League against Rangers and currently lead 3-0 after the first leg. My team so far:
Hoping to sell Asamoah and Rodrigo in the summer, maybe Delph. Will be promoting Legrand from my youth team to act as backup to Traore, planning on signing Walter Prestia from River Plate and will cost me around £20million. Also want Christian Eriksen but Ajax are a bit reluctant to sell.
