-------------------------------------------
STEP 1: Pick any team, doesn't matter who as long as they have a few decent attacking players.
STEP 2: When you get into the match, immediately pass to one of your attacking players.
STEP 3: Proceed to dribble, holding LT/L2, through your opponents team. (watch as they hopelessly attempt to tackle your player)
STEP 4: Once you get in proximity of the box, cut onto your players stronger foot and shoot using the finesse button, RB/R1. Alternatively, you can continue dribbling into the box, and then square the ball (it's not like the defenders will be marking anyone).
STEP 5: Rinse and repeat.
STEP 6: Hope that your opponent doesn't use the same strategy. If he inevitably is, just pretend you're Kevin Keegan's Newcastle side from the nineties.
EXTRA TIPS
Don't bother passing the ball around; this will only slow you down.
Always place your strikers in front of defenders at goal kicks/free kicks etc. You never know, your opponent might be an idiot.
Good formations to use with this strategy include; 5-3-2, 5-2-1-2, 5-4-1, 5-2-3.
Remember, if your opponent is winning, you can always quit the game.

Haha, funny guide. Kinda true at times as well.

I still can't believe this feature is in FIFA, it's ridiculous for goal-kicks when you have someone running their striker madly around your defence in the hope that you'll pass to one of them. When they do, you inevitably end up having to boot it up the field, which usually loses you the ball. I personally don't do it to others as it infuriates me when people do it to me, I see it as a very cheap tactic.

Haha, interesting guide and something I'll have to try out online or just against some friends. Quick question on step three though, by holding LT/L2, will it just magically make it impossible for them to take the ball away? Or will I have to actually weave in and out, use the special moves, or what exactly? Surely it can't be so simple that I just have to pass it to a striker, run down the field directly at the keeper holding one button, and I'm wide open for a shot?!

^ confirming the validity of that tip I asked about, but doesn't want to let everyone else know about it so they'll start using it.
Thanks for letting me know,
Danger! Now time to show my mates my new strategy!!

^ I'll give you the real method to destroy opponents with dribbling,
Chad.
Hold sprint and press the left trigger + direction you want to shimmy to when you're a few yards away from an opposing player, you'll shimmy past them, then release left trigger and you'll return to your sprint. That is the genuine way to rape an opponent not used to the new defending.

Ahh! Don't tell on me,
Lone Warrior!

Honestly though, my problem against people isn't getting the ball setup for a good shot, but actually making the shot. I'm so poor when it comes to getting it past the goalie, haha. I always blast it straight at the goalie and most of my goals are the follow-up to it ricocheting off the keeper! Luckily I do this enough to still come out ahead.

You encouraged squaring it to an open team mate. You sir are the reason why Fifa online is poor. Score proper goals, don't sweat it out and tap it to the man with a tap in ffs.

I have never understood this statement. If you have worked your passes well enough and have created the opening to allow the time and space infront of the keeper, then why is it so bad to play it across?

Because it's cheap. If you score sweaty goals, you're a wanker. No better than Barca/Madrid/Messi/Ronaldo whores. When you're 1v1, shoot, don't sweat it out and tap it to the man whos in space because you draw the keeper out. Offline it's fine vs the CPU, but against an online opponent it's just cheap. No skill involved in that.

It's not cheap at all, a goal's a goal, if you keep letting two attackers get past your defence then you need to fix that, but you can't moan at people taking advantage of it. Also, I've never heard them being called "sweaty goals" haha. I don't understand the Barca and Madrid bit either?

No it is cheap. It's like scoring from a short pass from the keeper. You can score it but you still feel a bit meeeh about it. It's not that, it's players overpowering the use of speed on the game. Which takes me to my Barca/Madrid whoring. People just give the ball to Messi/Ronaldo and just run down the wing exploiting their pace. It's like an unwritten code of conduct I've seen online. If you're good enough you'll score harder goals, not whore the best players pace then pass it to an open man for a tap in 3 times. That's not skill, that's taking advantage of Fifa's poor error of judgement.
You can do it tbf, I just prefer not to.
