It's Monday, developers, how about cutting a guy a break and giving a guy some help? Starbreeze Studios, developers of 2012's Syndicate and those really impressive Chronicles of Riddick games, announced a new game today -- STORM. The game wasn't announced with a press release or a trailer, however, and was instead announced with a small website update. This is going to be a long week.
STORM's title and a very brief description popped up as a profile on Starbreeze Studios' "Games" section of its site. Here's the text that we can read on the site:
"Currently in development.
Co-op Sci Fi FPS.
It is our future."
That's it! Normally I'd speculate a bit, but what we've got is pretty straight forward. Starbreeze is also working on a 3D adventure title named Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and after recently buying Overkill Software also have a Payday: The Heist sequel in the works. Maybe those things have something to do with this new space co-op game, maybe they don't.
Hopefully we'll hear more on Starbreeze's next title, STORM, soon. Oh wait, maybe it's a Syndicate sequel. Aha! Now we're getting somewhere.
