Store hasnt updated to reflect the PSOne game listings on the Vita's side of PSN, but you can still download the PSOne games to your PS3 and then use content manager to transfer the install apps to your Vita.

The new firmware also adds the option to use buttons to navigate the menus instead of always smearing the screen with oily fingers and what have you, which is a plus.

It also adds background support for eventual software that will allow you to use the vita as a 2nd screen for games (the WiiU countermeasure). Nothing supports it at the moment though so not much to talk about.

But yeah, finally some more games to use it for.

Note: Not all the PSOne games are compatible with the Vita. It will not detect the install apps for some games. IE: Legend of Mana is a no-go, while Final Fantasy VII and Fighting Force work fine. Lot of tiny PSOne games so you should be able to fit quite a number on a 16gb stick.

Nice! Will be getting the Resident Evil games at some point, loved those and would be awesome having them on the Vita. I saw Spyro on one of those lists but i don't think that ever got released on the EU store

I do like how the new notifications are a lot smaller, on the top right of the screen. They were quite large before, compared to the screen size at least.

Is there a goddamn guide for the emulator? I noticed you are apparently stuck with the tiny black bars display mode and cant resize the screen or change control layouts like you could on the psp, which sucks cuz the vitas dpad is up way too high to use as the primary config. Unless im just not seeing the option. Then again, it is v1.0.....maybe a later version will add that in there.

Place your finger on the touch screen for a few seconds and a menu pops up where you can change the display size, control config, discs etc. Worked for me.

Metal Gear Solid is a living nightmare with the back touch screen standing in for the L2 and R2 buttons, curse my giant hands constantly pulling up the trigger inventories, can't work out a way to map them off and away from there.

Why is RE3 there but the first two aren't

And it's £8

Glad that Silent Hill is there, will definitely pick that up whenever i get round to getting the HD collection on PS3 (since that only has 2 and 3 in).

Also might pick up the Crash Bandicoot series at some point.

So until they put the game's onto the vita store list... i can't download classics like legend of dragoon onto my vita... i need a ps3 to do that roundabout method... p.o.s content manager won't allow the transfer on pc
