This is for all of you folks who already have a PS Vita: overall, what do you think? Was it a worthwhile purchase? What games did you get, and which do you like and dislike?

wow - either it's so good that everyone's too busy playing it or people are just too dissapointed to admit that they blew about £300 for nothing...
I thought this forum would be flooded with threads by now...

The thread was made an hour ago, this forum is fairly busy and believe it or not most kids (ie general audience of this website) don't just casually have £200+...

Overall, it's a very impressive system, although i think it should be a littler cheaper; i think even 250 US is a little too much for it. Probably should be around 200-225. I got FIFA, which is amazing, as well as little deviants (don't like it).

I got it and I personally freakin love it and can't wait to continue immersing myself in the games to come. I have Uncharted (which is great) and BlazBlue(which has a ton of content when it comes to game modes). So yeah I am very pleased with my purchase.

Got the FE one. I like it a lot, Wipeout is beautiful. The camera is jank though, but when would you really USE it? Also, web browser suck, but again, phone trumps it anyway. Im just waiting for better games to come out. Little Deviants is *bleep*ing horrible though. Thought it would be a cute little mini game thing, but the games are either too easy or WAY to hard. Like the first one use the touch pad to roll the guy around, worst controls ever for that one. Then again, I have big fingers.

I played the little deviants Demo and actually had some fun with it. I thought using the back touchpad to roll the guy was pretty easy and fun. But hey that is just me.

Hate the browser. Haaaaaate it. PSP browser seemed to have more UI functionality than the PSV browser. Needs more updating. I hate having the address bar disappear and only open again when I close the window and open another/backtrack history. :\
Not having a problem with much else though. Still too much emphasis on touching the screen to do simple tasks that, at the very least, could also be done with the buttons and sticks. IE: There's no rewind ability on a video without dragging a finger on the scene cursor, yet the analog sticks are right there doing absolutely nothing. Ick...
Like being able to put a game on standby and search the web or use another app without having to quit said game.

I love it so far. Everything I got is displayed in the picture I posted here. The touch screen is flawless and works just as well as my iPhone. It's huge and colorful and bright, the buttons are crisp, and the analog sticks are smooth. I'm very VERY happy with it. The two games I got were Ninja Gaiden SP and Shinobido 2, both of which I'm enjoying very much so far. Uncharted is on its way.
The only cons for me so far are the rear touch (just don't like it), the size of the console (I have small hands), and the blue PS button on the front. The only thing wrong with that is I wish I could turn off the glow because when I'm playing it in the dark it's distracting. Its functionality is great though. Oh, and no PSOne games - yet.
I was pleased to discover how easy it is to take screenshots (PS button + Start) and transfer them over to my PC via Content Manager. I took advantage of this and took quite a few screenshots of the system features for anyone who's interested. :3

I just hate how the select and start buttons are really tiny...i mean for those Ninja Gaiden Sigma players, IT IS NOT A FUNNY SCENARIO D:

So can anyone justify the price, cause this is literally the same price or more expensive, depending on the package, then a 160 GB PS3.
That to me is pretty damn deterring.

I can't really justify the price of it but what I can do is say that I haven't regretted my decision at all.

! I was wondering about that today! Need to take some cheeky Uncharted shots

Thanks

It's exactly what I wanted. It's a powerhouse and has a bunch of features. And Uncharted is a great launch game, cleverly showing off how well some of them can be integrated into regular gameplay, even better than buttons.
But there are complaints!
The blue pre-order bonus headphones are awful.
I don't like being forced to touch things on some menus that would normally allow button input.
Racing games. Ridge Racer is pathetic, so is Asphalt. Wipeout is great, but we need more.
There are some other things I can't remember....it did freeze this morning as well.
But yeah, love it. Even the battery life has been great.
As for the price...well the 3DS launched at the same price, making the Vita a bargain! But yes it is very expensive, especially with games/cards/accessories. But launch consoles always are, the PS3 launched for $1000AUD!

Mate, it's £197 in ASDA, so if anybody paid £300 that is their fault.
Anyway, it has enough going for it for me to buy it.
Even with MH being sold to a company that already managed to produce two shit MH titles.
