I wish Oblivion had the engine Skyrim does. I recently started the two of them again, it was epic nostalgia.

I hear Morrowind was released for the original Xbox; is it worth getting? I'm unsure about patches being released for older consoles, but I'm choking to play it, Oblivion was my first TES, and I have no intention of becoming a PC gamer, as much as I really should.

Well, if you've played the 4th and 5th games, don't bother coming back to the 3rd. They've gone a long way since then..i started in Daggerfall, and it would be 'epic' in the 90's. But in 2012? only the DF players will want to go back.

the_famas_pro I don't mind going back to shittier gameplay and graphics etc, I still go back and play classics from like the PSX and stuff even now.

What I meant was, is it worth playing Morrowind on the xbox? Disregard the fact I've never played it, I mean for bug issues and so on.

Horrible mistake to even state "don't bother with Morrowind"....without Morrowind, you wouldn't have Oblivion or Skyrim

Also just because games have advanced over the years, shouldn't be an excuse to not play games...we have Crysis, Call of Duty and Battlefield for FPS game giants now but even now I still prefer to go back and play Quake III...hell without Doom no FPS games would even exist

Just recently I actually played an old game I used to play in my childhood, it was called Brides of Dracula and was made in 1992 for the Amiga...even now it was still nice to play it

kedjown You are better grabbing the game for the PC version, community patches and mods can make the game playable and "more" like Oblivion and Skyrim if you wanted it that way.

The Xbox version even when played on the 360 can suffer from instability, crashes and freezes. I should know started playing Morrowind on xbox then eventually got it for PC

The game itself in engine and systems are not as good as Oblivion or Skyrim but the story and quests and the fact the game doesn't hold your hand every step of the way will keep you tied to it. Granted some people still prefer Oblivion or Skyrim or just can't get into Morrowind after playing the latest 2 games
