Subject: Transferring savedata

I had a save file with a level 81 Wood Elf on my old Xbox. I took it in to trade-in for a new Xbox Slim and the guy stuck my save file onto a USB stick for me, but I can't seem to transfer it onto my Xbox Slim (something about cannot copy from this profile?).
Anybody know how I should do it? Thanks!

Are you logged into the same profile that made the save?

Nope; I didn't have XBL on the other system and I do on this one.
