Anyone playing on master difficulty?
And what tactics/perks/spells/skills do you use/exploit to survive?

Master is freaking hard dude. Enemies have almost triple health and do triple damage. Also magic is DEVASTATING, so watch out for Mages or Necromancers. Take them out first then move on to the melee enemies who actually give you a small chance to dodge their attacks. Mages usually always connect with spells, where melee's can be somewhat blocked and avoided.
I had to push it down to Expert, mainly because I'd run through every single potion I got almost as soon as I picked them up. Master is about on par with Dark Souls if that paints a good picture for you.
Expert is perfect for me, it's a good challenge while you can still enjoy the game without reloading a whole bunch.

I've yet to try Master difficulty, but from several videos I've seen and people talking about it, it seems to be the most realistic.

Jesus *bleep*ing christ, I still die on adept sometimes. And I'm a pretty good player, too. Master would be *bleep*ing near impossible.

I play on master and beat the entire MQ on master. It was pretty rage-inducing at times..mainly when fighting pyromancers, which can one shot you at full health.
All I'll say is proper shout use, mixed with good gear and good management of your followers. Cook and harvest EVERYTHING...I smithed all my gear, cooked all my own food before leaving, and stayed stocked up on potions everytime I went out. Get Ice Form, Fire Breath and Animal friendship shouts ASAP. If you use animal friendship, then you can solo giants regardless of the difficulty since the mammoths all swarm whatever giants you're fighting. Ice form works wonders for CC as you can freeze an entire group of enemies and pick them off one by one. Things like that, coupled with a LOT of saving make it possible. It's certainly not easy, but its incredibly fun once you start winning.

I've finished most of the major quests on Master difficulty Dark Brotherhood Dragon Questline The Stormcloak / Imperial war Theives Guild and I have cleared atleast 25% of the crypts
I've been playing a Dagger based Assasin, If you complete the Dark Brotherhood questline and get
Spoiler:Plot Spoiler
Cicero's Jester Set and the blade of woe
while using a maxxed out sneak tree, your pretty much invisible during the night and dark caves allowing you to get x30 hits on enemies. This includes 1 - 2 shotting dragon, dragon priests and most other boss type enemies.
If ever I'm caught out of stealth, I would attempt to leave combat, stealth up and then re-enter the battle.
Heres a skill breakdown:
One Handed: 5/5 Armsman 2/2 Dual Flurry 1/1 Fighting Stance
Sneak Max out everything
Blacksmithing and Enchanting are good crafting skills to have as well, due to the fact you can seriously increase the effectiveness of your gear.

Sounds *bleep*in difficult. I play on novice to be honest lol. I have enough frusteration in life so that I don't wanna get frusterated over a video game. Its why I got rid of Call of Duty, it used to make me put my fist through a wall.

On novice? How is that fun? Everything would be so easy....

I play the game to have fun and explore, not get so frusterated. Like I already said, I've got enough frusteration in my life.

This is my first elder scrolls game and master difficulty truly is challenging. It is the only one I've played on. Considering moving to expert but being an archer seems to work well with it.

Not even going to attempt it @ this difficulty yet xD.
Maybe sometime in the future when I get bored of facerolling everything...
Are you glad you stayed on it and didn't move down to expert for a less frustrating first playthrough experience?
Honestly I'm torn on my opinion, it honestly doesn't seem all that hard to me but then I maybe go too far ahead and rush the main plot quests or go in a cave I probably shouldn't. Then I quickly die somewhere and briefly question whether expert wouldn't be more satisfying yet still remaining challenging. I'm leaning towards staying on master, because I think maybe I'm just rushing through the game as well as not really making use of scrolls/potions or activating any perks yet. Plus I'm not sure I'm utilizing the follower enough; kiting/letting NPC tank/gearing them properly.
Only lv 9 and haven't made it to the greybeards yet.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm pretty confident and happy with the challenging aspect of this difficulty, but damn those roadblocks throw you off whether you can complete the game this way. It's good to see that it can be done and some of your tactics give some food for thought too, thanks.
