The Fountain's Black Swan
Mila Kunis to Star in Aronofsky's Black Swan.

quote
July 26, 2009 - Mila Kunis is in talks to star opposite Natalie Portman in Darren Aronofsky's supernatural drama Black Swan, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Black Swan centers on a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself locked in a competitive situation with a rival dancer (Kunis), with the stakes and twists increasing as the dancers approach a big performance. But it's unclear whether the rival is a supernatural apparition or if the protagonist is simply having delusions.

Black Swan is set to begin shooting in the fall in New York.
Hmm, not sure from just the plot summary, but it's Aronofsky, it's Portman, and now it's Kunis. Sold! Coming soon to a limited screen, near you.

Seriously though, amazingly talented director, yet none of his films seem to get much of a wide release. Hearing his name attached to a project, can't help but be interested.

Meg becomes a supernatural ballerina. Cool.

I'll just close my eyes throughout the movie and imagine that it's Meg that's playing in the movie.

It sounds like The Prestige but with dancers

It looks pretty good, Natalie Portman is a good actress so I'm happy.

Trailer started to remind me of Single White Female there for a bit, until the end with Portman apparently losing her mind.

I will see this movie. And the reason is:

Oh, and here is a Natalie Portman quote:

quote
“Nudity is something absolutely natural and I’m not prudish — but in a film it can be distracting,” she said. “Doing Black Swan I couldn’t say no. The project is a huge opportunity for me to show a new me. I can’t always play the nice mothers."

YES YES YES YES YES! MOVIE OF THE YEAR!

just what i was thinking. Natalie/Mila make out scene will be the reason many guys see it. oh and Natalie nude scene? nice!

i have a hard time picturing both girls being dancers though.

Some douchebag critic from Slant Magazine reviewed this movie on Rotten Tomatoes and name dropped another certain film in his blurb and really has me upset. I'm going to include the movie in one spoiler tag, and why I feel it ruined it in another. Read at your own risk.

I read the plot and thought, meh, lame ballerina movie. Then I watched the trailer and thought, damn, this actually looks good. Can't wait to see it now.
