*Slow clap*

Take that corporate overlords!

Good on you, Frictional. Still haven't gotten the nerve to get this yet, though. I don't really like horror as a genre (Film, book, etc.) so I don't think I'm in the target market.

Still, good on you guys.

I still haven't played the game, though I own it...

Not a huge fan of horror games, that's probably the reason XD

Still, I was under the impression it was an older game than that for some reason. Probably because of its indie origins.

As we've seen in a couple previous articles this month, the large companies aren't willing to take chances on new IP's, and probably more so single player IP's with no multi player component.

Where larger companies are failing by not supporting new and unique IP's and sticking with series games, it's boosting sales and revenue for smaller / independent companies who are taking chances.

That's true. But it's their loss because Amnesia stays relevant because the engine allows MODS, where everyone has more or less stopped playing Dead Space 1 and 2 (for example).

I'm STILL finding new Custom Stories to play. Some good, some bad, but the fact that people out there are still making them attests to the excellent groundwork Frictional Games set for the community. Would EA every do something like this that would be so largely community-oriented 3 years after its initial release? Lol.
