hi, so basically, everytime i boot up my computer, i have to release and renew my ip address to access the internet.. but if i do ipconfig before that, the addres is there and all but cant actually ping the gateway... the pc is directly connected to the wireless router via ethernet and our wireless devices connect to it too..
the problem surfaced when i changed the ip setting.
it used to be a 192.168.1.1 /24 network and i changed it to /29, 200.100.100.16, 255.255.255.248
so the first usable address should be .17, we have about 6 wireless devices at home, so it should work.. wireless router uses .16
the smart phones have to be restarted to access the internet.. (remove, replace the battery) it's quite annoying!!

Hey there. I'm going to need a bit more information here than what you've provided:
- What operating system(s) are your wireless devices running?
- About how long has this been going on?
- Also, approximately how old is your router? Sometimes hardware has a funky way of malfunctioning as they age and die.
- What's the make and model of your router?
- Have you, or anyone with access to your router, made any changes to the settings that may have potentially caused this issue?

sorry for the late reply, but ive already fixed it..
i pushed back the network address to 200.100.100.17
ive no idea what the deal was though..
if u still want the details
- i've no idea what os blackberrys have, i have a ds, 2 laptops 1 vista 1 xp and a wii..
- for 2 days just after i reconfigured the addressing scheme
- the router's about 2-3 years old
- router is netgear wgr614v9, uses WEP
- yeah, i changed the private address stuff

If you have some network problem than change your internet network in your PC. You have to check all process of related network and it is also help to increase the speed of your PC.
