Action adventure Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light is available right now to play in your browser, if you like. Launched through Square Enix's "Core Online" service, it's free to play with ads, or $10 without ads.
Of course, if your PC is at all decent, you should be able to pick up the PC version for $15 on Steam and play it with enhanced graphics and such. A demo is available on Steam, too, though if nothing else, this makes the game very easily accessible and quick to try out.
Other titles available via Core Online include Hitman: Blood Money and Mini Ninjas.
Subject: Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light hits browsers -------------------------------------------
This would have been great, and the answer to my prayers. Except I've looked at some online video walkthroughs. (Didn't think I'd ever have the hardware/means to play/purchase the game.)
The game looks terrible, from my point of view. Puzzles and platforming are minimized in favor of loud, flashy explosions (which give me a headache), and too much combat. The combat is especially annoying to me because the game is played in isometric 3D, which is not suited for a lot of combat.
Thanks for the heads up, anyway. Maybe I'll take another look at it.
