It was fine for the group stages as well as the previous 3 quarterfinals. Why now?

Larger viewer count if I had to guess, if it's not just straight up technical problems arising with the venue.

As the tournament progresses more viewers will tune in, not as many people interested in what amount to "lower level" matches.

I thought so, but I didn't think this would happen till Taipei vs. M5 or Azubu Frost's game.

And god knows what's going to happen during the finals if this is how it's going to be.

Technically speaking, the final matches were planned to be happening about now, it's possible that higher viewer count from those games is what's causing them to just not happen in the first place. Riot set aside two hours for each 3-set match, and we're over 7 hours in now.

Stream is up. Riot's said over twitter that if issues continue, the games will be put on hold until later this week, when they can find a better connection point.

It's sounding a lot like they're just totaling the network at their current location, which is causing problems.

edit: Then it died again.

Inuyasha The teamfight on WE's base doorstep before the crash was impossible to call. It was roughly equal, except that CLG were 1 second away from losing their Ezreal, while WE's Corki was firing away unmolested. If team A loses their AD carry in a teamfight while team B's AD carry is still alive and dealing damage, team B is almost 100% going to win the teamfight. So WE had a real chance at winning the fight and staging a comeback.

It is confirmed that the matches will be put on hold, due to network instability.

They will be played this week at a different location, exact time not announced.

Firing away unmolested, as Malphite and Orianna hadn't used their ultimates yet. It was much closer and easier to call than WE's restarted game, and they had put alot more into it due to how long it took, but it still would've been unjustified to give either team the straight win for their restarted games.

Wow, CLG.EU really took that game home. WE was fighting a good fight in lane, but couldn't really do much past break even.

M5 will be M5 yo.

TPA had a good idea rolling in the beginning, trying to corner Alex with the Kog+Taric lane, but as soon as they switched it out, Alex just started rolling. Toyz wasn't doing amazing bot, but it looked like he was holding better than Alex, if they had left the lanes as is, may have been a chance.
Wonder if they switched because even with that full-on gank, they couldn't kill him?

Yeah, shutting down Alex was a good plan, but they didn't pull through. Just an idea of how stupid good he is in middle, his CS count was higher than Vayne's by the end of the game, even with the early 2v1.
