yea I hate when old threads get bumped, but to answer the question, it comes down to Vaporeon, Gyrados, and Swampert. Vaporeon can support the team, Gyrados can sweep, and Swampert provides a defensive backbone. If it's a Special sweeper you are looking for in a Water type, Empoleon is likely your best option. Good defenses, access to Agility, and high Special Attack make it a good choice for a special sweeper Water-type.

Thank you captain obvious, btw Kingdra under rain is pretty deadly, while Milotic isn't really as effective as before cuz she isn't as defensive as before nor is she strong enough to sweep on her own.

Lol, if you read my post, you knew that I knew it was an old thread.
The question still sorta had a purpose/argument, so just wanted to add my two cents in.

True I guess.
I guess it could still be open for discussion if other people wanted to know.

I agree.

Anyway my fav is Suicune but Vaporeon does a good job too.

I also used Cloyster for a while. He could do some serious damage with Rock Blast but he couldn't last long enough to pull out a second one. Still think he has more potential though :/

Dream world' Suicune has Water Absorb, I like to think of it as a stat buffed up Vaporeon without Wish

as a matter of fact, all 3 crown dogs more or less "replace" the 1st gen eevelutions, at least Vaporeon's Dream World ability doesn't suck like the others (srsly? Quick Feet Jolteon?..... why)

Vaporeon is irreplaceable. Jolteon would be dropped a lot lower in ranks if it didn't have Shadow Ball - the one move that sets it apart from Zapdos. If Vaporeon lost Wish then Suicune could replace it with ease, but it doesn't. The underrated Heal Bell Vaporeon also learns is something Suicune cannot do.

Vaporeon cannot be replaced by anything, so don't even think Suicune is like a stat-buffed Vaporeon.

Point being? This wasn't bumped up with a spam post that didn't add anything to the discussion. It was bumped up to add to the discussion which is perfectly fine and allowed. If you have something to actually add to an old thread then by all means post and bring it back. But if you're just gonna say "I agree", "yeah" or something that doesn't add anything to what discussion was going on then it should be reported for spam.

Just thought I'd clarify that so a few of you know for future bumps. =)
