Subject: Cant get Cate to talk

Have tried pushing all the buttons, but still cant get Cate to talk. Have pressed "T", and screen shows choices for conversation, but don't know how to ask the questions.In first scene Cate wants to talk to "Santa" but cant work out how to do this. Have read manual, which says press "T", but nothing happens, please can someone tell me in plain english what to do.

I think the aswd buttons will do. And maybe the t button is talk? I haven't got the game yet. Going to get it soon.
