Sorry, Fay, but Vampire Princess Miyu is also an anime vampire story, as are Kimera, Master of Mosquiton and Nightwalker. There are several others.
Anime vampires are a fairly significant sub-genre, although only a few titles are considered mainstream anime.

Blood + is another Vampire anime (recently licensed to boot) and while there is a lot of blood and gore involved, there is also a fairly complex storyline as well as some worthwhile characters. Since I still haven't seen the Blood movie, I can't tell you how the two compare or contrast.

Trinity Blood is also a pretty good vampire series. I've seen it all and I'm fairly content about it. However, Hellsing and Vampire Hunter D is so so soooo much better.

anyway as for me , all time favourite would definitely be Hellsing's Alucard...
I definitely love Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood, although truly speaking, he is not a Vampire but a 'Vampire Vampire'...i think i'l just stick to 'Cruznik 02'
as for cute anime vampires i have an entry- Tsukiyomi: Moon Phase... super cute vampire who makes you wanna have a vampire lover just like her..
and last but definitely not least...Vampire Hunter D...

Well, if a succubus is technically the same as a vampire, then obviously my pick would be Morrigan (Darkstalkers/Night Warriors...it's also an anime, not just a game). If only because she's the only one I care for and/or have even heard of.

I don't really like much anime, but Vampire Anime I really like. Vampire Hunter D is a classic, I remember I had a picture of him as my avatar for ages. @_@

I'm obsessed with kawaiiness....and since I like vampires too, as well as any demon girl....that would be the ideal match

The manga is licensed by TokyoPop and is out. While FUNimation licensed the anime in 2005, according to Wikipedia it will be coming out on DVD sometime this summer.

The anime is definitely licensed, it's just that was the only site I could find the release date on.
