I thought this chapter would be bad halfway through. I'm glad Hades comes out unharmed though. Wonder what shall happen now? Zeref comes out maybe and wakes up, killing Hades?

Haha, I was about to mention Fairy Glitter, as well. Although I would like to see iced shell be used to contain that monster. If not by Gray then Ultear. Thank god it wasn't as one-sided as led on, but it's still bullshit to see 'lightning flame dragon.'
I'm curious as to what Happy and co. found. "It's alive?"

Is it wrong that I actually like the fact Natsu failed?
I think we established Cana sucks at using Fairy Glitter. Unless she "pulls a Natsu" (as I am now referring to it) and unlocks some super inner power, it's safe to say that she won't be much help.
I'm at a loss, to be honest. The best solution I can come up with is Jellal somehow getting there... and even I know that's not going to happen. That been said, the idea of Ultear using iced shell suits me fine. Not only does Hades get done in, but we loose Ultear as well! And if that happens, I can predict a whole "Mother and daughter reunited" thing going on.

It was definitely good that they didn't have Natsu finish it off there. I'm all for the hero getting the job done in the end, but him losing now at least adds some humanity to him always winning.

I just hope he stays down. I mean, for all we know he gets fed some more fire. I'm definitely for Natsu gaining humility like he did facing Gildartz not too long ago. If he lost that badly to Gildartz, there should be no way he beats Hades. I think Ultear is the best theory by far. It seems less farfetched than anything else. Though perhaps Happy is gonna save the day somehow.

Ultear is possible, as is Zeref. Natsu's already been fed power up stuff. Knowing Natsu, it'll probably happen again, but I'm remaining optimistic. Laxus is down for the count, as are Grey and Erza (they've already had their character development battles for this story arc) as is Lucy (the chances of Lucy ever being the grand hero? Slim).
Yeah, Ultear is our best bet. Unless Gildarts turns up, which I doubt.
Wait, where did Meredy go? She just kind of... disappeared.

It's great Natsu failed... kinda makes the whole him eating Lightning thing pointless, though. I'm disappointed in how Hades acted, cliché anime villain, "Thank you, I haven't been hurt like that for a while, I shall reward you by taking off my eye-patch of power, SHOOP DA WOOOOOP," derp. I kinda expected more from Mashima, but anyway, the only way I can see this ending is with Zeref taking Hades out. Or if the dragons show up at the end. Then again we're yet to see Charle's vision of Cana come to light yet (I... think) so her showing up with Fairy Glitter and getting whooped would make sense too.

What is it with manga people and containing their power with eye patches? Seriously. Seems like every badass character and his goat has a power-limiting eye patch.

I think it's for a better balance. Too much power would make them over-exert and break down quicker. Using it sparingly would help them. That Bleach character 'something-pachi' does this, right?

Kenpachi does it out the wazoo. He has bells on his hair that do the same thing. Also he pulls increasingly ridiculous power upgrades all the time.
Kakashi from Naruto does it. The list goes on though. I wouldn't be surprised if Zoro from One Piece has hidden eye-potential now. Seems like they'd find new ways to limit characters though. I don't get why it has to be an eye patch. Why not gloves or something?

Well, eyepatches are cool. Doesn't stop it from being overused, though.
Aside from Ultear and Cana, the only other person I see possibly helping may be Doranbalt. Even if the council's ship has left, he can jump in at any time to teleport.
