You just make the mistake of thinking of him as a guy. If you think of him as a chick he makes perfect sense.
Contrary to public opinion this season was one of the worst imo. Very predictable and not at all funny. I liked Kal Penn as a guest though. I've been a fan since Van Wilder.
Weirdly enough I just looked at Kal Penn's wiki page and he is deep into politics. At first I thought someone had been messing with wiki entries.

Love the show but it has gone steadily downhill over the past series and a half. There aren't the episodes that used to be absolutely hilarious such as the playbook IMO.
It has all seemed very, very predictable and you just knew what was going to happen at the end. Shame really as this was my favourite show, i even have a 'suit up' shirt and a 'its gonna be legendary' hoodie to show it.
Community has definately taken over this for my favourite entertainment/comedy.
I still love Jason Segal though, anything he is in you just want to be his best mate. HIMYM, Muppets, Foregetting Sarah Marshall, I love you man.

Chelskiman Cheers, I'll look that up too. Think I remember a fan campaign to get F&G a region 2 release but nothing came of it.
What we need is more subplots about Lily's boobs. The writers massively fancy Alyson Hannigan too.

The same can be said for Zoe and now for Victoria. Anyway I think that the writers had a pretty solid idea about the key events of the series from the start (e.x. Ted not being over Robin for a while). It is original after all for a sitcom to actually serve a purpose (trying to find out who the mother is). What they probably didn't have in mind is that in the course of 7 seasons, after steadily revealing clues about the mother, people would get frustrated when something that actually isn't gonna pan out happens. However realistically it is perfectly logical that Ted would hook up with women and have relationships instead of being single for 7 years up untill Barney's wedding.
Anyway i think that they aren't gonna drag it much further and that the contract won't be renewed for a 9th season. There is still one think they owe us which I expect to be unfolded early in the next season. Robin hooking up with the guy she met on the club they all went to. I am guessing she's gonna be with him while Barney is with Quinn and they'll both dump the other' (kinda like Nora and Kevin) and ultimately marry each other.
PS. What a pointless wall of text...

This season has been one of the worst, the first few was good, the middle ones were just filler episodes, did love the last few. It has started to decline but there is still quality moments during this season that keeps you hooked, i will still watch it up until it finishes.

Mother Theory;
Jerome's daughter Karlie. Barney's stepsister, who is definitely going to be at his wedding and who during the 6th season is said to be in college, so she could be in Ted's wrong class incident. Also It would really justify why Ted calls Robin and Barney as Aunt & Uncle (although that could happen even if they are not actually related). Sounds solid to me. What do you think?
