Welcome to the Neoseeker Hall of Fame! brought to you by Community Events.
What’s the Hall of Fame?
- The Neoseeker Hall of Fame is intended to be a permanent record of the members of the Neoseeker community who, through their participation, have made a significant and meaningful contribution to the site. Whether as a member of the leadership team or a forum regular, the community wouldn’t have been the same without them. Here we recognise them for their role in Neo’s history so that future members can learn from their example.
How does it work?
- Any member – past or present – can be nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame. Upon induction, a brief but permanent summary of that member’s history on the site will be posted in an official Hall of Fame thread, forever thanking and remembering them for their contribution.
Nominations will take place once a year. Any member may be nominated by any other member, so long as the nomination adheres to the list of rules given below. Nominations can be either public (in this thread) or private. Private nominations should be PM’d to the Neo Hall of Fame account. From the nominations, the Hall of Fame panel will select ten inaugural Hall of Famers, and future inductions will add five at a time.
The Rules *
- While there are no specific rules on what a nomination should contain, selections will be made on the basis of members who have made genuine contributions to Neoseeker. This isn’t to say that someone has to have been a staff member or moderator! There have been many great community members, past and present, who have never moderated. In addition, there is no set length for how long a nomination should be. However, generally speaking the more information you can give in your nomination, the more the selection panel has to work with, and the greater the chance that your nominee will be inducted!
- Join date/main period of activity
- Any sitewide positions held (if applicable)
- A brief description of the nominee. What are/were they known for? If they’re still active, what communities are they active in? If they’re not still active, what do you remember them for?

Reasons for nomination: tek’s been on Neoseeker for six years now and is one of the more active staff members around the forums. He posts regularly and leads by example, always helpful to less experienced members and a great guy to those who know him. He’s made a buttload of wiki edits and maintains one of the more informative blogs on the site. He remains one of the more prominent figures of authority but he’s always down-to-earth and isn’t afraid to share a laugh.
Rules of Nomination
- You may nominate as many people at a time as you wish, but each person must have their own nomination. ‘I nominate Quierta, Stitch and Misty because they’re the greatest mods Loungin’s ever had!’ won’t be accepted.
- You may nominate yourself. However, be aware that the application rules still apply to self-nominations.
- Applications which don't address the way in which the nominee has contributed to the site in a meaningful way will not be considered. This isn't intended to be a popularity contest, so 'joke' nominations won't be taken seriously.

I'm not sure how appropriate it would be for ZTR or Sniggit to hold places here... not because they aren't remembered or well-liked, but since this is more of a contest for amazing contributions to the site and I don't know if it would be misread that their untimely passings 'contributed' to the well-being of this site. It sounds like something that would belong more on the Neoseeker Timeline. I don't want it to be taken the wrong way, if you know what I mean. Not that it couldn't be justified but I think it could use some heavy consideration both on the positives and negatives...

Both were huge posters in the community, Sniggit in Loungin' and ZTR in the wrestling forum and IRP. Both were incredibly well liked and were a blast to talk to. I just posted that because I can't really do then justice. The fact that they're gone should just push them in front of others, in my opinion.

A good number of Neomembers died to be fair, this would start as some sort of half-funeral if we went that route. Maybe the other deceased had ample contributions within other communities just like ZTR/Sniggit did. The impact each of them had is subjective to everyone and whether it's decided to include them or not(this seems to be geared towards "genuine contributions on Neo" so it's up in the air), and as much as I love both of them, they shouldn't be "pushed in" front of anybody.

even as one of ZTR's closest friends I don't think he should automatically go in ahead of other people. As much as he was a well liked member and a great guy, he didn't 'contribute' per se to the site, he was just a member. It'd seem like he was going in purely because he passed away, as some kind of token gesture

i just got perma'd from loungin' for a second time surely that should get me into the hall of fame right? right?!!
actual seriousness right here. the members that should be included (like the actual good members that have made this place memorable) will almost certainly not be ever accepted into the hall of fame cause the supers or mods are butthurt about them.
