Subject: Great Game BUT...............
-------------------------------------------
OKay this is a little bit of a complaint.
I think that The game is excellent in a lot of ways except for one major issue. It is, with a couple of minor exceptions, a straight Port of the PS2 game, "Smuggler's Run II: Hostile Territory!".
Now why am I complaining? Well put simply, because, while I have absolutely NO problem whatsoever with the same game being "Multi-Platform" and available on different consoles, Rockstar NEVER bothered to let anyone know that "Smugglers Run: Warzones" was pretty much the same game! Not only that but they sold it as a Game Cube exclusive and even had the balls to change the title (and not very much else!!!
Now in fairness there are a couple of minor differences in the game, aside from the Game Cube graphics, but Rockstar really ripped off a lot of people who, like myself, own all the consoles and expected a different game would accompany...oh I don't know...a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TITLE!
After being disappointed by State of Emergency, the porting issues in the PC version of GTA 3 and now the false advertizing regarding the GC version of Smuggler's Run, I am no longer going to buy Rockstar's games without reading a review first!
There was a time when as soon as I found out Rockstar was coming out with a game I would IMMEDIATELY put my name on a waiting/pre-order list without question, but I guess those days are over! I pre-ordered "GTA: Vice City" several months ago, but after what I have seen over the last few months I no longer have ABSOLUTE faith in Rockstar and in my eyes they have lost a good deal of credibility!
OKay rant over.

Um... the same thing happened with Resident Evil. It was supposed to come out on PS2 as Resident Evil 0, but the game was moved to the GameCube platform and had "0" stripped from the title.
Most really good games are put on single platforms. Nintendo and Sony nag Rockstar to release a great game on there platform solo so that way people with that platform get the game and the people without it will want to rent/buy the platform just to play it.
The video game industry is homo like that.
