There is a huge problem going on right now where people are having their accounts hacked. It seems that even people with authenticators aren't safe from this.

I say public games because that'll allow the "hackers" to know who to go after. Also, try not to post screenshots with your names in it :\

I came across this on youtube aswell. Major mistake on blizzard's part I'm guessing. I haven't played a single public game yet and this will only make sure I'm sticking to my friends/solo. Now I don't know the details of this but it turns out that certain information is sent to the other players in a game which can be used to gain access to other players' accounts. However they're doing it, best to avoid it. Another obvious thing is... don't follow any links anywhere even fansites etc.

Thanks for the heads up, Tekmosis. For anyone who doesn't have an authenticator you should really get one. It drastically reduces the chances of your account being hacked and it works for all Blizzard games, not just WoW.

I've seem claims of being hacked a lot of times. Most of the times, it's people who cry "me too". If you've been hacked, I suggest scanning your computer for viruses and spyware. You likely have a key logger. Needless to say, don't download 'cracked' copies either.

Good thing I have an authenticator and I've yet to join a public game. :/

Seems like it's all hacks and not really something in the game itself, anyway, which is good. Avast better be on high alert! D:<

This is pretty crazy, I heard a buddy of mine talking about it last night. For as long as D3 has been in development and beta tested, you'd think they wouldn't have this many problems right out of the gate...

+1 for trolls like me who never join public games.

This isn't what your regular player would be testing. If a person with the knowhow figures out how to do it he probably has bad intentions and keeps it to himself.

I'd make a joke about how silly you'd have to be to use their support when you don't even own the game, but having been on their side of the things and seeing how many people actually do send in reports on pirated games now I've just lost faith in humanity.

"I totally won't buy this game from you if you don't fix this."
"You didn't buy it from us in the first place. If you did, you wouldn't have this problem."
"Fascist."
*problem resolved*

On the other front, I'm really, really surprised at how many problems Blizzard is having technically. While there is something to be said about unexpected load, Blizzard probably has the largest and broadest experience with online structures for gaming, as they have everything from WoW to SC2 to their credit. Seeing them have this degree of problem, even if some of them are somewhat external like this one, is pretty surprising and a bit concerning.

I'd have to agree with Mish about this. Blizzard's had so many chances to learn from. Most of these errors are similar to other releases in the past...

Granted, I think alot of the people bitching to the point of demanding a refund are impatient and whiney, but meh.

I hope they can iron things out.
