Subject: Does Diablo 3 have the option to refine weapons and armors to like +10 with the chances of breaking?

I know most mmorpgs have this option and it's addicting to get the highest plus. Is diablo 3 like this too? I'm going to play this game and I never tried Diablo II.

No, I don't think so. All the good armours and weapons all have set properties but with varied stat bonuses, anyways.

This. You can craft stuff, but they will have random stat / value. Crafting it over and over until you make one you want. The system reffered to (+10 upgrading) is used in a lot of f2p mmo's and you can usually buy things with real money to help increase to +10 without it breaking. I'm glad blizzard didn't go that route.

your right! I see... and most games do require cash items to reach the +10 level. I guess this is better then! I'm glad it doesn't have the refinement system like that.. because I would be obsessed with getting my gear to max refinement while breaking many weapons/armor/real money/ or time to reach my goal.

There will still be arm/weap upgrading to an extent just done in a better way that's more fun and doesent require real life money to do.

I highly recommend playing the first two in order to understand the storyline. They're on sale for extremely cheap these days at the local retail store and despite their age, they're still definitely worth buying.

The battle chest goes for about $25 and nets you the first two games and expansions and a strategy guide for the second game, which is a nice read even if you're not playing it...though with release this close, I don't think anyone would bother. Dx
