The only reason I'm going is because I need to go to at least one offline brawl tourney in my life. I figure "hey, why not this one?"

I chose not to go because I wanted to focus more on studying for finals instead of practicing brawl.
Yeah, good luck there. Show them who is the best Snake!

ah I hope Denver did okay at his first tourney. That's great - he finally went to one. I'm sure he threestocked havok/mike/tyrant with ease.

I did okay. Made it out of pools, but promptly lost lost in the tournament.
Lost to a Pikachu named Truth. He chaingrabed my Snake to like, 100% and egdeguarded me to death. The matches were close, but I couldn't pull clutch.
Sent to Losers. Played a Marth named Roy_R. 2-0'd him.
Then went to second round against a Samus/Zamus named DaFt (or something like that). Matches were nice, but lost 0-2 to him.
Money matched someone (7 dollars). Lost to his Marth 0-2. I don't know who that guy was, but he was extremely skilled.

Thanks Denver. Roy R is decent. That's a good win for your first tourney.
You probably money matched havok or mikehaze or someone lol. idk who else over there uses Marth.
I placed 7th out of 19 in singles, beating one ranked player and one unranked metaknight player. I lost to two top players (Fatal and Koolaid) because of stupid mistakes. I'll get em next time (Apex).
Doubles was fun too. I teamed with Riot (the best Zelda player.) We ended up placing 5th I think (we went 2-2 in bracket). We lost 1-2 to Fatal and Koolaid in winners then 1-2 to Hinkage and Bizkit in losers. I was in a 1v1 situation with Bizkit game 3 and I gained a lead. It was close but I lost. I was mad about this. I suppose I will have to do more 2v2 practice on AiB whenever I have the chance.
and yeah I did some money matches too - a falco/diddy player challenged me to a $20 MM on AiB and I won that 3-0, obviously. lol... Then I played a ranked Diddy player in a smaller MM and won that 2-0. (We have been MMing since 2010 and it's sort of a tradition haha.)
