Can anyone believe how unbelievably stupid this setting it? I know its harder then hard but the first Lloyd fight took me almost 5 mins and I had a level 100 fenrir (full growth and all skills from prior forms except for orion) and a 55 Sword dancer. He was destroyed in hard mode in a matter of seconds but this was ridiculous.. the phoenix boss and album artrum (200) are going to murder me... anyone else notice the subtle (sarcasm) differences between easy to hard and hard to mania? Also does anyone have Unknown mode?? I really want to know what it is.

Unknown Mode is just a bit tougher than Mania mode, in my opinion -- it's tough for me to notice many battles as being tougher up until later on in the game.
Around the time you reach chapter 5 you'll begin noticing a more significant increase in the difficulty playing through Unknown Mode.

well i just noticed a crazy diffrences in the lloyd fight in the begining. It was sooo hard ; ; i beat it it just took a long time... the exp was way worth it though!

Mania ish liek teh eaziest ting evah.
No, I'm not joking. Just train a little bit if you are having any trouble, and don't do sidequests until you are strong enough.
No, I don't have Unknown because I turned Mania off once on accident...

yeah lloyd at Lumens core in the tower of mana. I know the richter side quests are gonna kill me when i fight that 120 pheonix or the level 200 album atrum in twilight palace..

I've been on Mania for a while now. I really don't see the difference. I'm on the 4th chapter and I'm doing fine. I have a lvl 7x Fenrir and a lvl 9x Tiamat.

If you are strong enough, you shouldn't notice any difference. You might be able to notice Stat Change, but not much.

Haven't played Mania yet on DotNW, but I remember on ToS1 the Hard and Mania modes were only hard in the beginning. Once I trained at that point where I was okay, I was okay for the rest of the game.

its not really thats it is hard its just really is the stat change.. lloyd didnt have any where near this much HP on the hard. he tooke like 10k and droped dead.. he took 5 mins + with higher level monsters and everything.... but i farmed enought grade for 10x exp so i hit 35 from that fight ^^ start of the game and i allready have special ^^

same here after beating him i went to the 30's but it didnt take that long for me idk why but maybe its because i had a lvl 100 orion and vroom but idk
