SPOILERS AHEAD (For ToS and ToP mostly, this really is all theory so there's little worry for the story of KoR)

Ok, I have a really interesting theory for Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World/Knights of Ratatosk.

Ok, so as we all know, ToS is pretty much 4300 (0r 4200 considering the go-back-in-time) years before ToP. Aseria is the new world born of Lloyd's struggles. So, I have a very interesting theory that involves Emil, that could prove true based on the ending of ToS: KoR. So, here goes.

Emil is a kid who is blessed with the power of Ratatosk and given the ability to command monsters in order to do something to the world, which is suggested to be some way of reoganising it (considering it is said that a factor of the world being out of order is that the monsters are running wild). He is blonde, and his eyes turn red, I guess in combat, and so it is safe to assume that his powers (both dealing with red eyes and the control of monsters) are somewhat demonic. It makes Rataosk look to be some sort of bad guy, or atleast rather arcane in nature. This would also explain why Lloyd is opposing Emil.

Dhaos from Tales of Phantasia has blonde hair, and as far as I rmember, red eyes. He commands monsters, and appears demonic and or arcane in nature. He is the bad guy of ToP but it is later explained, so I've read, that his true intentions were not entirely evil. Basically he wanted to take the kharlan tree (Yggdrasil) and bring it back to Derris Kharlan, because apparently Derris Kharlan ran out of mana and is now dying.

I suppose you see what I'm getting at? What if Emil is actually Dhaos. I mean, it's a stretch and there are many reasons to not beleive this such as;
1. This is 4000 years ago. No normal person could live that long. Emil should be dead by the time ToP happens.
2. Dhaos is supposed to be from Derris Kharlan, Emil is from Palma Costa.
3. Emil is named Emil and not Dhaos. Different name... pretty obvious.

These can be explained easily, with excuses such as;
1. Perhaps Emil's blessing of Ratatosk may have extended his life or made him immortal, much like a cruxis crystal does. I actually have a theory that Exspheres and cruxis crystals are basically the fruit of the old Kharlan tree, and have very much to do ith Ratatosk's power.
2. Perhaps at the end of Tos: kor emil leaves for Derris Kharlan, and during those thousands of years, he get's a change of heart and chooses Derris Kharlan's well being over aseria's. The strange thing with this would mean that he should have encoutnered Kratos on Derris Kharlan. Wtf happens to him over those years anyway? I mean I guess he dies of natural cuases because he probably removes his cruxis crystal so he can go back to aging.
3. Um, he changes his name? or maybe he fuses with some power and becomes a different being, much like how all the spirits of the fallen chosen enter the soul of martel to become the goddess martel. It would make a lost of sense for his rediculous power, but would make less reason to believe that Emil is Dhaos because there is no need for Emil to have been a part of this mad fusion. None the less, it could just be said that he felt that after he gains god like power, much like mithos, he decides to pick a new name more befitting of a god. Unlike Mithos, rather than using his last name, he picks Dhaos, which may be an anagram of something, or whatever.

At any rate, you get the picture. There's a chance that ToS: KoR is the story of the origins of Dhaos. It would certainly be an interesting plot twist. It would be great to see a ToP remake for Wii following ToS: Kor which could include a whole bunch of crap that would expand on the back story.

Sorry if I write so much I don't make sense. It's also late and I'm tired. At any rate, discuss.

Nice, I like how your related all of that together. However if you theory is true, there's sure a lot of people who likes turning from good to evil. First Mithos, then supposedly Lloyd, and then now Emil.

No Lloyd isn't evil, he's just in a bad position. After all, Lloyd didn't really murder marble now did he?

That's true, but I did say "supposedly". Anyways too bad if Emil is Dhoas I guess the chances that his going to be an optional boss in the game lessen.

Lol, I honestly don't beleive this theory either, but I think it's interesting to consider.

its highly posssible

Mithos was the allmighty warrior and savoir turned evil jerk

Mithos wasnt entirerly evil just wasnted to save mertel

Dhaos just wanted to save Darris Karlan

We know spirts can live in anothers body right?

so could Mithos possibly go into Emil?

Top is short for Tales of Phantaisa. It was re-released for the GBA, and the PSP.

Possible, but I don't think so, and I hope not because I really wanna see Dhoas as an optional boss.

They're the same game.

what do you think of mithos's soul entering emils body?

could be incredibly wrong but just wondering

I don't think it will happen. Since from the small storyline given to us, the game is going to be more about: how the world has changed, people's feeling and regard to the combined world, and a possible war. I don't see Mithos in the picture.

Mithos was killed, his synthetically created body was destroyed, the crystal that held his soul was smashed. There's pretty much no where else for his soul to go. He's dead and gone.

-------------------------------------------
First, before I forget, Corrine was killed. Before his death, he was a synthetically created summon spirit made specifically to aid in the study of said spirits.

Back on topic. The summon spirits have always been a part of Aseria. They are a part of it before Mithos split the world, and they will be a part after it was reforged, especially considering their presence in ToP. The idea, however, is that all the spirits hold pacts with Sheena. Although it is possible, however, that since Sheena's quest is over, so are her pacts. Basically the grounds upon which she made the pacts were resolved, and therefore their contract should end... theoretically.

But back on topic yet again. Basically, don't think that just because Mithos abused the summon spirits to play a unique role in his twisted version of the world, that is their only perpose which they can't live without.

okay o you know

Corrin becomes a real summon in the end

after you get the darris karlan symbol from the dark dragon thing before mithos go to the temple where you get the sorcerer's ring

Corrin now inhabits that place and is a summon spirt

thought you can not obtain him

okay so summons stay

question

do elves and humand coexist now?

Corrin being a summon spirit is an optional side-quest, if I recall correctly. Seeing that it's optional obviously the producers didn't think if was that important. So don't be surprise if summoning Corrin ends up having a minor role or doesn't appear at all.

That's one of the development we are going to see in this game.
