Ok I'm sure you've all heard that Lloyd is an antagonist at game start. So, why is this, we are all asking. Well I have a theory.
Lloyd went on a quest to destroy expheres, right? What do we know about expheres? They are parasitic stones that suck the life from those they share a symbiotic relationship with, then grow in power as a result. They eventully absorb the consciousness of the host. Tabatha explains that expheres are living creatures are lonely and desire to be with another being. Their desire is so strong that it absorbs it's hosts life.
With this concept in mind, it got me thinking, maybe expheres are important. I mean, they were used by cruxis, but that doesn't mean that is their only purpose for existance. Wood is used as kindling, but it doesn't exist for that sole purpose. WHat if Lloyd's quest to destroy expheres is doing a bad thing. I'm willing to bet that that is going to be a big part of the story of "knights of ratatosk".
Perhaps expheres are born of ratatosk, as in, they are it's fruit, and when the tree died, they desired a new host. Perhaps one of the objectives of rataosk is to revive itself by making use of it's fruit, the exphere, and Lloyd gets in his way in this by pursuing their destruction.

If the wikipedia translation of the site is correct then there is a reason why Everyone, and eventually Genis too sees Lloyd as a enemy early on. I don't really know if it is a big spoiler or not but I'll mark it so anyway.

Apparently Palmacosta was rebuilt and became a primary city for the people of sylvarant as the combined world began to fight. Palmacosta was then attacked in the blood purge, which included the death of Emil's parents, and the Church has stated that Lloyd was the one who led the attack

I'm stating this based on the obviouse given that everyone think he's a baddie because of that. I'm saying in addition to that. Exspheres, I beleive, will play a role in tos 2. It might lead to a further dispute between Emil and Lloyd later on. I mean, lloyd is a god. He has surpassed Mithos, Kratos, and all the seraphim and combined the two worlds. How could a boy blessed by the soul of a dead tree hope to compete? And yet they seem to be going toe to toe in the trailer. Unless LLoyd is holding back, which I wouldn't put past him. But still the idea that that battle we see takes place later on in the game is not far from possible.

wat happened to flamberg i wonder, and the vorpal sword,in other words wat happened to the ETERNAL SWORD!!! lloyd left flamberge home, but wat happened after that, and where did he put the vorpal???

He basically split them up and put them in far locations accross the world so that someone else couldn't just pick them up and be like "w00t, I haz teh eternal sword!". If you notice, in ToP, they are separated and hard to find, also, those locations are suggestive of where they were put at the end of tos.

but only a person with origin's aproval can use the eternal sword and in phantasia the swords were used by rival countries, thet's y thier found there

Nintendo Power says that Emil said that Lloyd killed his parents. The church didn't say that (they had an interview). Isn't the game already out in Japan? (Knights of Ratatosk) Shouldn't we have explicit details in all of this?

-_-... Lloyd is getting blamed for the blood masacre of palmacosta because the church is pushing blame on to Lloyd. Basically, rather than take responcibilty for it, they say it's all lloyd's fault because he lead the raid.
And no, it isn't out in japan.

The expheres are for sure essential to the game, but Lloyd seemed oddly enthralled into the regeneration of the worlds. Meaning of all, he seems unlike he'd cease in "the purge of blood" as Wikipedia calls it. If you have read the manga, it explains more of what happened to Kratos at the end of the game. Kratos, when he went to Derris-Karran, Derris-Karran became one with the planets (not completely) it became something like to moon, and caused the planets to merge peacefully. But according to Wikipedia, the planets went through drastic changes. Which throws off the plot!

Well who knows, that may end up coming in to play later on in the game. We know very little of the storyline thus far, and what will happen a few dungeons in to the game is anybody's guess.
