Hi all

Newbie here, my girlfriend and I play Mario Kart all the time but kinda bored of the same old tracks. Can you download any new content or is there an editor how you can create your own track?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks
Ed

To do that, you must texture hack the game. But I don't know how to do so, sorry. But you've got to love this games' tracks.

they are also adding a new patch where you will have 24 more tracks to play at the end of august. the download should take around two hours. I just followed the instructions for the 4.3 and now i have many tracks i havent played the original tracks in quite some time now

It is also much safer then it was back in 2011 as you can now play custom track worldwide and not worry about you file getting banned, but i would create an alt file anyways

I dont know how old you are but downloading is easy. it might take 2-3 hours to download the track portion of the download but you can just leave you computer on and leave

Well, John234MKWii, if you ever decide to do it, this is how (Please note that I am typing this up from memory and ay not be completely accurate.:
1. Go to Wii > Settings and look at the top right corner. If your Wii is 4.3, then you are set to use this method. If not, find another way, via google, to install the homebrew channel.
2. If it i 4.3, the go to Wii > Settings > Internet Settings > Console Information and copy down your system's 12 digit MAC address.
3. Go [link name=here]please.hackmii.com[/link] and select your software type (4.3 with either a U, E, J, or K after it). After selecting, type in your 12 digit MAC address. Keep the 'Bundle the HackMii Installer for me!' box ticked and cut either wire.
4. Put the file on the root of your SD card, put it in the wii, and boot up the system. (You may want to back up all of your saves, channels, etc. to your SD Card and your Mii's to your Wiimotes because the wii may have to be formatted.)
5. After installing, go [link name=here]wiki.tockdom.com[/link] and find CTGP Revolution 1.01 and download it.
6. Boot Riivolution through the homebrew channel and click 'launch' to play on 128 new tracks!
7. To download tracks and characters that aren't in CTGPR, go to the above sites and download the track from their custom track/battle/character section to SD/mkwii/My Stuff.
8. Open Riivolution and make sure the 'My Stuff' part is on. Then click Launch

And if you want to texture hack, go to wiki.tockdom.com and look at the tutorials
