Yes, Cream the Rabbit is a playable character! In this video from E3, we see some new gameplay footage with the characters sonic, shadow, knuckles and Cream fighting two large earth monsters called Kron. We also see the character's equiped chao flying behind them. Looks real good so far.
As for cream herself, it looks like she is able to heal the party.

I wasn't a real big fan of Cream, but its good to have some more footage available of the gameplay.

I don't believe this.
I have the game and Cream is, without a doubt, the best character I have so far, Her POW moves are godly in usefulness ;_;
Then again I dont have Omega and 'Shade' yet.
