Tough question. Nintendo has some serious oedipal issues when it comes to online, and this particular game was a budget title made by a small dev team new to consoles. They incredibly well with what they had to work with, but they had nothing like the investment that went into COD4, and that's going to be felt in several different ways.
MOHH2 is the first pure shooter for Wii that really uses the wiimote expertly. For that, it's a whole new FPS experience. It's also feature poor, has few maps, no DLC, isn't updateable, no VC, a worthless Friend List that won't even tell you what server your friends are in...etc. And there may not be a competent follow up on the Wii for some time--this is important because once you really experience a well designed Wii FPS, you may shudder at going back to dual-analog for FPS. You're going to want more games that improve on MOHH2, and it's still unclear if that is going to happen.
Activision has committed to bringing some sort of COD to Wii, though it isn't clear if that will be COD5 or some sort of Wii/PSP/DS special. It's also unclear if they actually think about control design the way Team Fusion did, and how they'll deal with Nintendo's idiotic online issues.
Ubisoft is likely to come out with a RS2 that has online, but there's no clarity as to what they'll do with Nintendo's FC system (FCs for a large competitive online experience is a game destroying function. 4 player games can survive that level of idiocy. 32 player games can't), and whether they'll at least copy MOHH2's controls, or stick with the more financially successful, but abysmal controls from RS1.
Free Radical has expressed interest in the Wii, but they haven't committed to porting TS4 to it. It would be huge if they did.
COD4 is extremely popular, and apparently very well made. It's a safe choice. MoHH2 is a little riskier, and less flashy.

Call of Duty 4 is better, I mean like Fortunzflavor said team fusion had so little to work with, and Nintendo's stubbornness about friend codes. No wonder barely anyone want's to work with Nintendo, but overrall COD4 had a bigger investment put into, and was polished to the brim I've played it, and it's just a great game. Medal of honor Heroes 2 gives you something new though with the intuitive controlls. Not to say there perfect, but they are the best to date with the option to customize. Now the controlls aren't perfect either when I scope in with my rifle I have issues, and grenade tosses could be made easier, but I still look at this as a great attempt to perfect Wii controlls. I expect more from RS2 when it comes out though now that ubisoft has seen the right way to do Wii controlls from Medal of Honor Heroes 2 & Metroid Prime 3.

I haven't played CoD4 but it looks great and apparently plays stunningly.
MoHH2 is a really fun game but CoD4 is a Game of the Year kind of game.

I've never played Call of Duty 4, but I've seen a lot about it. This game was my second FPS that I ever owned (I've played others at friends' houses), so unlike everyone else on the planet I'm not yet tired of the WWII style fighting games. For most other people though, who are tired of the traditional plot of killing Axis troops, they loved CoD4. For me, after looking at everything, I would say CoD4 definitely looks better, but MoHH2 beats it in a few things such as the controls.

Call of Duty 4 by far, way better point set up, more players, more options, better graphics and weapons, its way better. But since I have a Wii instead of a 360 I play MoHH2.

They certainly had the
opportunity to see it. We can only hope that they actually looked and learned.

This is really a pointless question. CoD4 is the best shooter on the market today. MoHH2 is a really cool game, with better controls than CoD4 in my opinion (and pretty much every other shooter out there), but WWII shooters have been done to death. CoD4 is just simply amazing. What with its uncommon modern-era warfare, sweet graphics, sweet game play, not to mention it's sweet weapons. Not that MoHH2 isn't some serious competition, but CoD4 is just too awesome for even Halo 3 to stand up to.

all I want is a Wii FPS similar to COD4, SOCOM, or Battlefield 2, with online where you can acctually send messages, join friend's games and talk with a mic. That would be just perfect.
