Dragonball: Online is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role
Playing Game taking place within the world of the manga and
anime series Dragonball, Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT.
Players will be able to create their own warrior character,
accept assignments in order to gain experience points which
are necessary to train your character and become stronger.
The story will take place 200 years after Dragonball Z, when
earth gets shaken up by something nasty while you are
training. Soon after that, Trunks will arrive and you will
use his time capsule to travel back in time and prevent
mayhem from happening. On your way, you will have to defeat
many enemies and monsters in environments that you know from
the manga/anime series and even better, you will run into
many legendary warriors from the Dragonball Z universe. A
beta version of the game should be available in Korea this
summer. Other worldwide release dates are still unknown.
Story:
Dragon Ball Online is set in Age 1000, exactly 216 years
after Son Goku left the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai to train Uub
in Age 784. The player takes the role of one of the many
warriors living in the Dragon Ball World, which are
searching for the Dragon Balls, training to compete in the
Tenkaichi Budokai, or aspiring to become like the warriors
of legend. While training, the player senses a disaster
strike the world.
Time Patrol Trunks The Earth is divided into pieces by a
villainous organization known as the Dark Eye, which is lead
by a mysterious individual. Receiving guidance from Time
Patrol Trunks, the player sets out on a journey to defeat
the mastermind and save the world, meeting other players
along the way, and interacting with the denizens of the
Dragon Ball World, including characters from the original
series.
Features:
Whole our knowledge about Dragon Ball Online features we
take from modest japanese advertisements, screens, "leaks"
from producers or just from our experience in other MMORPG
games. It's too early to talk about unquestionable features
but now we can give you few quite certain informations.
There will be at least three playable races: Humans,
Saiyians and Namekians. Players will be able to further
customize their avatars with a variety of options, including
hairstyles, colors, and clothing. Human players will begin
their journey on Earth, recruited by Time Patrol Trunks to
help save the world, while Namekians will begin on New
Namek, guided by Saichoro to help those on Earth. Just like the humans , the sayian will be started in Earth also.
Players also have the option to start their journey as a
child, allowing their character to age and grow into
adulthood as they play the game, much like the main
characters of the original series. Other sources says about
only two playable races: Humans and Namekians. It is
possible that after 200 years Humans and Sayains would be
mixed in one, powerful race.
The most certain information, derived from producers, is
customization such as: changing skin color, hair color and
head-dress. Table below shows us a few possibilities of
avatar's customization. We hope that there will be much more
possibilities. Otherwise, we will have a real attack of the
clones.

System Requirements:
It is difficult to say something about hardware requirements for this game because its release date is in the far future.
Unofficial sources say that system requirements for PC are:
CPU : Pentium 4 2GHz or better
RAM : 512MB or more
Of course a broadband Internet connection (it is difficult
to say now how fast does it have to be to not experience
"lags") and graphics card with 3D acceleration support will
be required.
Very unofficial sources mention about X-Box version of
Dragon Ball Online. At this moment the only proof of that
news is the announcement of NTL, where they said that they
they were looking for Xbox 360 games programmer.

DragonBall Online Is Real! And It's Coming!
VegettoEX @ 6:48 am EDT -- The DragonBall Online MMORPG that we mentioned in a previous podcast episode indeed appears to be reality! While it is being developed in Korea, it is an officially-licensed game and will be coming to both Korea and Japan on the PC (no console port is mentioned). You can read all about it over on our forum post.
Here's a couple items Julian's pulled out of the pages:
- You are free to do whatever
- You can interact with other players
- You can add new characters / events as time goes on by downloading new maps, characters, etc.
- You can mix & match elements to create characters
- You can have your character start out as a child and grow up over time
- The game is set around 200 years after the end of DBZ (circa Age 1000)
- Beta version comes out in Korea in 2007, with the Japanese release (and final Korean release) coming in 2008

The characters in Dragon Ball Online are made in 3D, and the game has introduced quite a number of innovative game systems including world martial arts tournament and marriage system.
The world martial arts tournament is an online counter strike system which produces the strongest player in the game.
The marriage system is a system characterized by alternation of generations, where players can get married and have their children and they rely on their offspring to continue their adventures in the game. Players can only acquire new abilities through alternation of generations.
In-Game Information:
Marriage System : When Dragon Ball Online , was first being developed at that time no other martial arts MMO had a marriage system, so they thought it would be a bright idea to implement it then , well unfortunately times changed, and now its very much a normal thing in MMO`s, Dragon Ball Online has a marriage feature and apparently from our reports its a very in-depth one!
Player Vs Player : If any of you are familiar with the party finding system in City Of Heroes / City Of Villains then this will ring a bell for you , there will be an option to show you all the people who are online, their level , if they have the PVP acceptance on and the chances of winning against them , this would have revolutionized MMORPG`s , but it seems like other MMO`s hit it before Dragon Ball Online.
