One of my favorites since Soul Edge at the arcades way back in '97.
So, anyone hoping he'll have a moves list similar to SC2, or closer to SC3?
I'm split because his SC3 set is bit more accessible, with some cool looking moves, but for some reason, I find his SC2 set a bit more fun. I dunno. Must be just me.
Thoughts?

Cool, same here, I've been playing as Mitsurugi since the Soul Edge days myself. I really enjoyed the set on SC3, imo that was Mitsu closest to his peak form than ever before, many of his attacks were swift and powerful and allows him to dominate opponents. Combine that with some specatular power feints & "counter stikes" (quotes because I'm not sure of proper term) and you've a weapon of mass destruction.
With SC3 it was possible to link several variant throws together all while keeping style and maintaining his guard, it was pure art I tell you.
As for using his SC2 set....I find this set to be more challenging to use, which might be what makes it fun, but I don't want him to lean towards that unless....every other character is also.

wanna know something pretty cool, my first job was at my uncles arcade in oob maine and he had soul edge and we used to play it ALL day long, this was probably back in 98ish i geuss....anyways i stopped working there when he sold the place (it seriously was the best job in the world, unlimited quarters and all i had to do was fix games) anyway he sold off most the games, but my cousin was lucky and kept a couple games like a linked cruisin exotica, addams family pinball, an old mlb baseball game and soul edge....we stillplay it to this day
oh yea i made off with simpsons pinball haha YESSS

This makes me wish there was a mod in which we could pit SCII Mitsurugi against SCIII Mitsurugi. Matter of fact wouldn't it be awsome to have a "back to the past" feature? Being able to play with older movesets and having a character's entire wardrobe.

Play Mitsurugi(Soul Calibur) against Hwang(Soul Blade). Imagine that.
