Epic Introduction Picture Time

Latest Smogon OU Suspect Vote has changed made some more minor changes with in the OU tier. First notable one is the return of a rather fierce Ground and Dragon type Pokemon with Garchomp being brought back down to OU. With that being said, Garchomp can only use Rough Skin as its ability because Sand Veil and Snow Cloak have completely been banned from the OU battling scene with this latest voting round. How do you feel these changes will effect the OU metagame? Feel free to discuss with others.

acetrainershaun where do you find these pictures xD

HOORAY IT'S OU AGAIN although Sand Viel was perfectly fine really. Wait can Froslass not be used in the OU game now, with Snow Cloak banned too?

I just happened to google search "Epic Garchomp" and stumbled across this awesome pic of Chompy.

I haven't checked to see if this assumption is right or not, but I believe that all pokemon that have the ability Sand Veil and Snow Cloak have a secondary ability/ Dream World ability released in order to be used in the OU tier.

Frosslass + Snow Cloak = Banned

Frosslass + Cursed Body = Usable

Honestly, I could care less if its ability sand veil was banned (although it would be very good to have used). I'm just glad that I finally get to use one of my favorite dragon types!

Magnetboy and Jeevs

I usually just run the Swords Dance set from Smogon, but with Dual Chop instead of Outrage. I pick Dual Chop over outrage mostly so I can break through Sashes, Sturdies, and pretty much just F*** up the FEAR strategy (which seems to be increasing in popularity lately on random wifi matches).

On occasion, when I feel speed is an issue, I'll just scarf it. And if I want some heavy duty power, I'll band it.

Jeevs is Sub still viable without Sand Viel? Also what does everyone think about running this on a rain team, as a good way to kill opposing Dragons with a Scarf?

supergoji18 what moves would you run on a Choice set besides STABs?

Magnetboy Stone Edge obviously. For the other one I usually run Fire Fang to deal with steel types. But it never really does much damage due to the low base power... We really need a physical fire move that does good damage and has a wide distribution...

Now I'm just waiting for everyone to say "Oh, he should have been OU all along. I thought he should have been since the beginning!"

Which is of course untrue since I remember only like... one person on my side back then...

I also see they did the complez ban that I suggested. Which is pretty loltastic, as everyone else shot that down too.

This might make me play again.

supergoji18 you got your wish, now you have a counter for dragonite

I'm excited to try out garchomp though I think it will be fun. Would've been a huge beast if it knew dragon dance (still is a beast anyway). Probably gonna use it as a swords dance I don't think ill choice it in any way
