what does this mean:
In your game dir edit swkotor.ini and under [Game Options] add EnableCheats=1 then when playing press ' to bring down console and enter any of these cheats below (the console will be at the upper left of the screen):

Note: The following procedure is how you enable the Cheats in Knights Of The Old Republic. You should print this if its possible.
Now when you're ready In your Start Menu find And click on My Computer. In My Computer find and click on Local Disk (C:). In Local Disk (C:) find and click on the Folder called Program Files. In Program Files find and click on the Folder called Lucas Arts. In Lucas Arts find and click on the Folder called SWKotOR. In SWKotOR find and click on the File called swkotor.ini A Notepad Document should appear on your screen. Click your mouse on the line called [Game Options]I (The "I" represents where to click your mouse and where the cursor will appear. After doing this the cursor will be blinking) Now hit "Enter" on your keyboard. Now Type EnableCheats=1. (Note: Before doing the next part of this procedure if you feel unsure of yourself or if you feel you made a mistake click on the "X" Button in the top right hand corner of the Notepad. It should now ask you if you want to save the changes you made to the Notepad. Click "NO" and the Notepad will close. No damage will be done to the game so you can restart the procedure and try again.
) Now if you're sure you haven't made any mistakes you can continue the procedure. At the top of the Notepad click on "File" then click on "Save" Now hit the "X" Button in the top right hand corner of the Notepad. Now play KOTOR. In KOTOR load your saved game and once it has loaded press the " ~ " Key on your keyboard. A small white line should appear in the top left hand corner of your game screen. Now type in one of the listed Cheat Codes and hit the "Enter" Key on your keyboard. Click the " ~ " Key again if you wish to enter another Cheat Code and hit "Enter" Key again after you finished typing that Cheat Code. Repeat this as many times as you need at any time while playing your game. Now you can cheat on Knights Of The Old Republic. Enjoy!
Ps. This procedure is the same as the procedure you posted in your question but this is just in simpler terms.

Everyone has a Local Disk (C:) Its your Hard Drive. Its probably just named something different. Go into My Computer then right click anywhere and hit Arrange Icons By - Type. It will then show you which ones are your Local Disks by listing whether or not they are below their Icons. Good Luck!

it was already in -type- order all my options are
HARD DISK DRIVES
HP_PAVILION (C:) HP_RECOVERY (H:)
Then
dEVICES WITH REMOVABLE STORAGE
with other stuff which all say please insert disk into slot

Then its probably in HP_PAVILION (C:) as HP_RECOVERY (H:) is just a back up of that. Click on HP_PAVILION (C:) then once inside that click on the folder called Program Files. Once inside that folder click on the folder called Lucas Arts. Once inside that folder find and click on the folder called SWKotOR. Once inside that folder find and click on the file called SWKotOR.ini Once the file opens follow the instructions I left in my previous post.
Oh and just so you know for future occasions when you need to work on your PC, Hard Disk Drive is just another way of saying Hard Drive they're the same thing. What really matters are the letters in the brackets. Usually the default for the Computer's Original Hard Drive is (C:) but if you bought and installed another Hard Drive yourself it could be called something else like (G:) or almost any other letter for example but usually its (C:) You should probably take some time and explore your Hard Drive by yourself just to get familiar with it. I promise you nothing bad will come of it just so long as you don't delete anything.
