My first wii game and I'm stuck already!!! I cannot collect all the herbs, iron etc that I need for stuff in the time limit of a quest. Can you get access to these lands i.e. desert, flooded forest without doing a quest?

i'm assuming you are playing offline. in that case don't pick up a quest, just go to the right off the armor/weapon smith and exit to moga woods, unlimited time to collect whatever you want from there

later in the game you will unlokc harvest tours where you can go to flooded forest,sandy plains, and tundra without having to actually do anything but gather for atleast 5 mins.
