Subject:   Chapter II : "Am I stuck?"
-------------------------------------------
Hi, let me introduce myself, I'm casshern and I'm just started playing final fantasy and it's really cool. I started playing yesterday, I haven't slept since last last night, ya, I'm already addicted. I'm at the firs mission on the second chapter where you get ambushed and I'm starting to see that my characters turned out to be epic fails, their spells sucks and their all about lvl 6-7 with four spells each. I have two knights, light and dark mage, and a squire. Not a balanced team. I'm starting over again, but what I'm finding unbelievable is how with the normal squires you get in the beginning, I cannot beat the first mission to try and get "Focus", "Exp Boost", and "JP Boost". Should I get a little further in the game like two or three missions? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for reading this really long post.

EDIT : I added some knights, problem done, now, is there a way to level down, I just got to level 14 to get my Squire mastered, but now I want to help out my Dark Mage to max his thing out and the monsters are too hard for me and a bunch of lvl 4 to take on. Or is there a way around this without de-leveling?

I didn't move off the first battle square until everyone had Focus and JP Boost. You might want to make a few people knights to begin with while everyone else gets JP Boost and Focus, and then switch it up until everyone haves what you need. I REALLY suggest making a team of 2 Knights, a Chemist (or Someone with Throw Item), a Thief, and a Black Mage.

White Mages are useless except to get to Artithmatician and Holy. Your Knights should get to Monk ASAP and Learn Chakra, Revive, and Shockwave. Then one should head over to Dragoon and another to Geomancer. You'll be using your Black Mage for basically the whole game and the Thief can go to Ninja.

Finally, you're going to want everyone to get to Samurai to learn Shirahadori, which is just the most baller inante ability.

Yes, I just thought of this too, what I have right now is pretty much Ramzar as monk with knight and squire mastered, three knights with jp and focus, and a black mage. I'm making the knights monks with the ability to use heavy armor, which I already have on Ramzar, is the heavy armor a good idea, or should I keep it jp boost? I'm keep the the black mage for frog to level up a chemist and any future chars with the frog focus farm technique. Ramzar is lvl, every one else is 21-24 level wise and I'm really kicking some 455.

Keep JP Boost, I wouldn't get rid of it for anything except "Throw Item", "Double Handed", "Dual Wield", or later the Time Mage skill that cuts charge time for moves.
