Subject: Buying Myrtle Pedals

Hi, I recently started this game and im up to the quest "Of monsters and men" and I need to collect 5 white myrtle pedals for abigail. I went to the inn and spoke to a merchant who just repeated random stuff without the possibility of me asking him for myrtle pedals. I then went to a herbalist outside the inn and there was nothing in the conversation panel asking for white myryle pedals. I also cant find them in the world as i dont have any herbalist points. I dont know what to do. Help!
